Overwriting the mpq?

Is there any way to change the models in Warcraft 3? Like using custom models while playing DotA? I know there's a way of changing the skins.

It is usually best to avoid changing data locally for only 1 client in WC3 as it can cause out of sync splits.

Find something that introduces that "use local files" registry entry and you can just put things in the correct folder path from the WC3 root directory. Same effect, no permanent harm done.
