Beta 0.31 - Veterancy Update
•this update is going to track the following player statistics: Games Played Games Won Games Lost Innocents Killed Aliens Killed Humans Killed Only games played will influence gameplay in this update insofar that more games you have played, the more likely you are to be shown the alien dialog (in all scenarios)
•Guass rifle base attack rate decreased from 0.2 to 0.3 times per second
•Further fixed vessel teleport logic (likely the last fix required)
•Allies & chat dialog are now grayed out
•Alt-tab loading crash bug is fixed once and for all (Tested with two battle.net accounts with windowed mode and full screen mode alt tabbing. Hopefully these test results are conclusive and that it is not player count dependent.)

Beta 0.30A6
•Nuke overhaul: nukes no longer deal damage to targets behind cliffs (walls). Nukes will also not create fire or debris through cliffs. Nuke health has been reduced to 25. If a nuke is destroyed prior to detonation, it will not explode. Nukes only explode when detonated.

•A custom ice planet model has been added to the game (thanks to P4RI4H)

•Fixed Undying (Zerg Evolution) bug •Alien host gains 1 evolution point income every 5 minutes
•[Tier 2 Mutation] The Interfector is an advanced strain derived from the Hunter Killer Hydralisk. Further specializes in direct combat, it can deal devastating amounts of damage. Disables the ability to transform back into a human. You can only have one evolve mutation per tier.
•Objects can no longer be built on vents
•Power loss allows containment fields to take damage
•Power core health reduced to 2250 HP (3 shot by bunker busters)
•Containment field health reduced to 750 HP (1 shot by bunker busters)
•Alien form again has inventory for items, however, while in alien form you cannot use items. Certain mutations will not have inventory at all (Mormur for starters)
•Creep now slows non-aliens by 30% and increases movement speed of aliens by 30%. Creep tumors now spread 50% more creep
•Movement speed of Seeders increased by 75%
•Income time changed from every 12 seconds to every 10 to increase the pace of games
•Vent gas now targets biological structures (Creep tumor for starters)
•The blood tester now has a 30% starting accuracy and deals 75 damage per test. Meaning max accuracy is 60% when fully upgraded (can't reduce you below 1 hp). If an infected player fully upgraded the blood tester it will ***never*** show atypical DNA
•Autoshotgun projectiles no longer collide with dead bodies
•[Tier 2 Mutation] The roach is one of the most resilient strains of zerg with plenty of armor and health. You can only evolve one mutation per tier. Advanced
•[Tier 2 Mutation] The Queen is able to effectively command large armies of zerg. Direct combat can be used but should be avoided, as you should rely on spreading creep and spawning zerg to command. Disables the ability to transform back into a human. You can only evolve one mutation per tier. •Vitapack health boost increased from 10 to 25 to increase impactfulness
•Scarab burrow animations fixed + no longer leaves a visible burrow in the ground. The un-upgraded energy cost has been increased to 50 and back down to 0 with Improved Burrow upgrade
•Parasite inflicted targets will now turn infected after dying by any source
•Players will drop all items when knocked out
•Ship upgrades now take anywhere from 10-45 seconds to complete
•Parasitic Infection now reduces the target's movement speed by 20% and reduces vision significantly. Also new eye candy
•Multiple bug fixes that were found during testing

Description:
The Mormur is a strain of zerg that specializes in deception and high mobility but severely lacks in health. Able to mimic other crew members. Disables the ability to transform back into a human.

Spawn:
Infested Marines: Capable of using items (not weapons) and mechs. Unable to return to human form.

Abilities:
Deep Tunnel: Burrow under the ground, allowing you to move faster and undetected for 20 seconds. Be careful of flares and flashlights! (Can cast parasite)

Mimic: Creates a projection of a crew member who is currently alive. The mimic will inherit the weapon, but not the items of the crew member. Can speak in the voice of the mimicked crew member by keeping the mimic selected. The mimic projection will stay active as long the ability stays channeled. When the mimic dies, it will explode in a small radius.

•Infestation ending now properly works. The infected will now be notified if a new infected crew joins their ranks. The host will gain 1 evolution point income and 15 flat evolution points per successful infestation.

•Added suit augments: Sprint, Stealth, and Fragment Grenade. Can be applied at the Corporeal Modulator.
•Sprint allows you to move 50% faster for 5 seconds. Cost 25 energy.
•Stealth allows you to turn invisible for 30 seconds, taking damage or dealing damage breaks stealth. Attacking with a sniper rifle will not break stealth.
•Fragment Grenade deals ~100 dmg in a small AOE, stunning affected units for 0.75 seconds
•Infected crew are now unable to use or pickup items while in their infected form
•Fixed an ish ton of bugs and improved quality of life in several areas (polish)

Interesting, looking forward to more updates. I hope this overcomes its spiritual predecessors' flaws.
That certainly is my goal. I will be posting an early alpha version in a few days.

The project is in a semi-playable state, working on content/secrets to keep it interesting. There are currently 10 firearms and each comes with a 5 tier unique upgrade. The 5th upgrade unlocks the gun's full potential and adds a new characteristic (Such as a slow, set on fire, critical, AOE, etc..)


Finally with the X-Rifle and the upgrade counterpart complete, this is what a Tier 5 X-Rifle looks like in action:
(The beam is now a lot smoother when it comes to tracking the player's mouse and the rotation of the unit)

Today I joined this by random chance in battle.net and... dude this is awesome. I am an old player of the Parasite/Zerg Infestation/Metastasis group and I can really appreciate the amount of effort here and how everything is so nicely polished. Awesome work also with the models/sounds everything fits incredibly nice together.

There is a lot of players out there who love this stuff and I can't until this goes super-popular, very good luck with your project maddeem!

I Just had a chance to play this recently.
Glad to see this is still alive and kicking even in reforged times. The map just outstanding and incredibly polished to an insane level of detail. What more can I say? As a fan of parasite2 or Metastasis this is simply all we could ask for... The environmental immersion one has while playing it is just beyond the warcraft experience as a game. Simply awesome @maddeem

I played this for the first time today, I was impressed at the quality of everything but I think it's lacking at least a 1 minute tutorial at start, cause I was expecting among us and ended up overwhelmed by everything that was going on at once. Still, seems like a really good map with a lot of effort put into it and I'm eager to keep playing and understand how to play it.
