How do I open maps in the editor that I recently played in sc2 battle.net? is it even possible?

You can by finding them in the hash folder. They might lack a lot of editor only data so do not expect stuff to be readable. It is recommended to search the hash folder using some sort of script. It took me a few minutes to make one in Java.

After finding the map file you need to re-name it as a SC2 map to open it.

I found an easier way, just open the Galaxy Editor and go to File -> Open -> Battle.net -> log in -> find the map and open it.
