One-question members

I've seen a few times now that people register for one question and then we never hear of them again.

Should we make a forum for these users, so they can easily be helped and we have a better idea of how many active members we have

Not really any need to have a such forum in my opinion. I mean what your suggesting is basically what the WE Help Zone is. And making such a forum wouldn't really do much, as its not really helping them any more as if they posted in the WE Help Zone, and there isn't really any reason why we need to know how many active members we have.

Then scroll fully down till you see "The Hive Workshop - A Warcraft III Modding Site Statistics " below currently active users. There it is mentioned how much active users we have.

Well, its a good idea to me, because I may be one of them. Only, I have more than one question, so I'll ask them here as I need them, other than that, I'm not quite into forums. So heres my first question: I was wondering if there was a tutorial on taking screenshots. I've already searched my way through sever of the tutorial sub-forums but have come up empty handed. Perhaps you guys could help me out? Thanks!

That's because, for the most part, all you have to do is press the "Print Screen" key.

Back to the subject: I agree with M4stah for the full 100%. There keep coming more and more new kids here, making 1 post, don't even bother to introduce themselves and basicly expect us to be there for them whenever they want us to be here and they don't need to do anything in return. And ofcourse, most moderators will immediately say this is bull, so if you need the proof, I'm willing to make a list (not a little one anymore) that will keep track of all people who post a question or request with less then 20 posts, got neg rep or have a lower post/reg ratio then 1:20 with exception of those with 3 small rep gems.
You'd be surprised how many people will get in that list in just WEHZ, T&S and Requests.

If you want the plain fact, just ask and I'll gladly make a list if you're going to take measures against this. It's been going on for too long like this in my opinion.

Well, part of the hive's role is to get help on WC3 modding. And that's what these users do. Get help.

Heck, it can actually be a good thing if they don't post because that means they've either learned to look at the tutorials or search.

The use of this forum is not to get help. If the use of this forum would be getting help, this wouldn't be a forum or community, but a Wc3 WE hotline. The purpose of this forum is getting help and offering help. You can offer help by answering questions you know, bringing in idea's where needed, helping others with requests or making just random resources by yourself. There are a lot of way to do it, but recently more and more new kids come to just take and give nothing in return.

I completely disagree with this idea. We have forums for organizational purposes. If we're going to do this we might as well compile them all into one forum called "The Forum."
