Notepad problem

I have a question. I used my notepad to edit mdl and mdx files, and now it recognizes them all as notepad files, and doesn't display downloaded models in the game. How to fix it?

So you are saying you are using notepad to open an mdx, then use a file extension change into an mdl? Ho! That will never work, because they have totally different formats, and mdl is bigger than mdx. Use [urlhttp://wc3sear.ch/?p=Tools&ID=3]this[/url] to convert them

Well, I know how to convert files. I first converted mdx to mdl, then opened mdl with notepad and edited it, and then (yeah, I'm a fool, I know) opened mdx with notepad. Now none of them works. What to do?

Reextract the mdx, and make sure you are careful how you edit the stuff
