New rating system suggestion

Well, I've seen it once on the other site.

The rating system wnich was working like this: not every member can vote, olny mods and those, who has at least x (let's say 5) marks wnich are 4 or 5 (they can rate only this resource that they are rated ). This will keep noobs from downvoting really good stuff and will help those who want high quality resources ( besides I really liked this rating stuff ).

You mean give voting privalages to veteran members or those who have proven themsevles to be responsible feedback givers? Sounds feasible.

i missed the ratin system..they should limit 1 vote per resoure per ip i think..i dont know if they had that already though...
but i really do miss it..

It was one vote per user, not per ip.

cuz criminal member planned on makin several accounts to demote resources so ya..

yeah that is a good idea actualy cause sometimes you just get those people who act like real jerks and down vote somthing cause its better then there thing

The only problem with your idea is classifying those who are respectable and who's not. There has to be a way to decide who are respectable members without leaving anyone out. Thats beside the point that the chance of Darky ever getting around to doing this will take who knows how long.

umm classifieing.... maby ones that have been @ this site for awile umm... ones that give compliments alot... hmm thats all i can think of for now..

I don't see any problems with classyfication. Mods can vote in the category they moderate ( I assume that all mods are respectable ) and other voters have high enough rating to be skilled and not to be stupid trolls and noobs who are downvoting everything.

The mods can vote from the beggining. Mods are respectable I think so there shouln't be problems with them downvoting.

Good question, unless mods rate them in their head i didnt think their was a way to.

Well the beggining will be a bit hard but as more users will get the abillity to vote all should be fine.
