I'm at Blizzcon, and I got to play the Monk, and it is hella fun!

The combo skills were really a nice touch. Kind of like a better version of the Assassin in D2. It was also interesting what they did about weapons for the monk. The old monk in D1: Hellfire focused mainly on unarmed combat. However, this monk, while it can use weapons, has limited access to weapons, but his fighting style and abilities change based on what sort of weapon he's using. All in all, it was a very fun class to play.

regarding the barbarian - what was he doing al those 20 years, if he forgot all the skills and attacks he knew, lost all his uber gear, became weak as a 1-st level char and now has to start all over?..

Some bow using ranged class of some sort. Ranger, Marksmen, Hunter, ect.

Monk looks awesome, I love the idea. Way better than Paladin. Granted I wish they'd leave all the old classes, and just make the new ones too.

there will be 5 classes, so one left, I think they will announce this class next year in paris (Blizz Convention) or again on the Blizzcon

Well... IMO:

There is a Totally melee class: The Barbarian.
There is a Summoner/caster: The Witch Doctor.
There is a Totally Spell class: The Wizard.
There is a Holy/Fast Killer class: The Monk.

So, from D2 we have: Paladin & Assasin (Monk), Sorceress (Wizard), Druid and Necromancer (Witch Doctor). But we still need a Amazon-like class. Even if that could be the female barbarian.
IMO, the next class would be... An Archer? (D2 Amazon + D1 Rogue).

...

Or what?

Archer doesn't sound all that "heroic". Prolly be something like Ranger or Hunter.

Err. Blizzard said that the only one class of previous version in D3 will be the barbarian. All others are new classes. (Monk doesnt count, because Diablo 1 Hellfire is a expansion by Sierra and doesnt have Diablo Lore. Hellfire is pure shit, really.)

btw, was it confirmed that WD will have a tree devoted solely to summoning? 'cos i'd consider a class 'summoning class' only if it had a whole tree devoted to summoning. a couple of spell don't count =)

and why not a class using bow, capable of fighting in melee, summoning or casting spells along with being ranger? would be cool if you think of it. make it depend on your talent/skill build

A ranger type that is decent melee and ranged, and can summon bears and things? Sounds plausible.

My guess for new Diablo 3 classes maybe:
-A Bard or something like that (A monk was made why not a bard)
-A Dragon Knight (not necessarily related to Dragons but have a unique fighting style and may use spear)
-Somekind oh a Hunter/Beast Master combination (Druid + Amazon)
