Nerubian Chill

This bundle is marked as useful / simple. Simplicity is bliss, low effort and/or may contain minor bugs.
Once, an old blue dragon settled down in a Nerubian temple to raise its brood. Years later, as each century, evil-minded cohorts crawl out of the mountains over the snow to celebrate their ritualistic acts, bringing cold with hundreds of gruesome legs.

A versatile map for up to 6 players.

Each map would had 100 score at the beginning (Full Score) and for each merit point, the point would increase while for each demerit the score would be deduct.

Map that violates rules would be deduct point drastically. The same apply for map that had bug as well.

Overall score would effect the rating given by Alexis Septimus. Below is the overall score needed to achieve certain rating.

Unacceptable = 0-15 (Rejected) 16-30 (Approve)
Lacking = 31-50
Useful = 51-80
Recommend = 81-90
Highly Recommend = 91-119
Director Cut = 120+ (Not Available)
Rules Violation
Map that violates the rules of hiveworkshop would be deduct point heavily which could possibly effect the rating drastically and could cause it to be rejected.

Below are the list of violation that could had possibly occur.

1) Map protected and never mention at detail/description/information (Map that cannot be open by ordinary World Editor must had the statement of it being protected) [-10]
2) "Just another warcraft III map" title are not allowed even if it is written at other language.[-100]
3) Blank map with nothing on it. [-100]
4) Maps with offensive map previews or profanity in the name or description. [-100]
5) Maps that are written in languages other than English without English as alternate language. [-100]
6) Map that had been approve, but deleted and re-upload to had better rating. [-30]
7) Incomplete maps/alpha stage level map are not acceptable. (Must at least be at least at late beta stage) [-100]
8) Maps that serve no real gaming function such as special effects and trigger test maps. [-100]
9) Stolen/Hack/De-protect map. [-100]
10) Maps that do not use standard keyboard characters [-100]
10) Constantly upload the same map (Different version are not acceptable as well, you should had use the update button instead.) [-100]

Other than this 10 violation, the map could had possibly rejected under other circumstances as well.

Rui's review on "Nerubian Chill", melee map by Kallimachos

The pack of trees that surround on the player's starting location from the road side is not equal for everyone. This is visible through the minimap. Compare Purple's to those of the others.

I don't like the neutral building placement. I go nuts when I see a red creep spot guarding a Mercenary Camp. These buildings should be placed on the middle. I don't advise putting any buildings where you have the Mercenary Camp, because it's exclusively for Blue and Red, it's in their territory and they can access it more easily. The same goes for the Waygates.

Remove the gates. It does not allow the AI to function correctly.

The creeps were averagely well selected, but I remember the drops being different for all players. That is a critical mistake.

The terrain is not good-looking. Use dirt and rough dirt on the players' bases, too. The ice doesn't compensate it and makes the terrain look boring. Elevation is not noticeable and the jump between cliff levels (ramp) was not changed to look smooth.

A boring map, which works only for 3vs3 at the moment.
My rating is 2/5 (Lacking). The map cannot remain approved if no balance fixes are made. I hereby suggest its [highlight]Rejection[/code] until updated.

bounty hunter2's Review on Nerubian Chill

Nerubian Chill is a six player melee map made by Kallimachos.

The Icecrown tileset is, as Rui told me ingame quite hard to deal with. But still you should have made the terrain better. It really lacks tile variation, aswell as height variation and more dodoads, especially well placed rocks and envirnomental dodoads.

The creeps fit the tileset, but the drops were poor. Actually, the drops themselves weren't that bad, but the same groups dropped different items, and that can cause imbalance. Severe imbalance which is ofcourse bad.

The map is overall symmetrical so in that aspect it is balanced.

The neutral buildings were quite bad. The waygates shouldn't be guarded, and the groups at mercenary camps are way to strong.

Overall, not a good melee, lacking in almost every aspect. 1/5 and Rejection.

If you wish to see this approved, you need a lot more improvements.
