Try making a gravity ball spell or a black hole.. It will shoot a ball // make a hole and drag people close to it and when they are close to it they will take damage over time

Look at dota and Warlock for some good ideas. Some good ones are from warlock: one where you fire an initial missile and it shoots other missiles at nearby enemies, a large moving "black hole" that drags nearby enemies with it. From dota there is that freeze globe thing that stops all heroes that enter it but the caster, fissure makes a wall path that blocks units and stuns nearby units, wall of illusion that creates an illusion of any hero that goes thru it for the caster. Just look at games like these and you can get many great ideas

You could try this:

Warp hole

Sends a vorpal ball to a target area dealing damage and creating something like goo on the floor slowing your movement speed and dealing damage per second the longer the opponent stays within the area of effect the more armor will be reduced.
if the opponent does not die (the targeted opponent) the casters mana will be reduced by 40% his current mana and can't regenerate them for a set amount of time.

Hrmm.....lets see, what spells can I thing of? :mwahaha:!

-Polymorph ward:
loads of fun, pretty much a ward, that polymorphs any target when it enters an area around it.

-Steal mana: whenever the target casts a spell, it drains mana equal to the spell cost (or as much as it can) and gives it to you, lasts one spell. (use the wait until *condition* GUI if you're not good with JASS)

-Exploding Lightning Shurikans: Hrmm...I bet you're questioning my sanity about now, but what IS a game without some crazy fun spells?! This spell should shoot out 3 shurkians in a fan-shaped spread, which shoot out lightning to anyone they pass (for small amounts of damage) then they explode when they reach a certain distance doing the thunder clap slowing effect and dealing moderate damage!

-Pong Board : Warning, hard to do, I could not do it, this is just an idea. Creates a small force wall in front of you, any unit that touches it is pushed away using a knockback system. It would be reasonably easy to do I guess if you made it check every 0.1seconds if it needs to kockback.

That should do it, dont want to use up too much space :grin:. Maybe I could make up some more given a longer attention span.

Treewalk

Makes you invisible and creating a tree to block chasing enemies.

(Windwalk based)

Temporary Blink:

Teleports you to a target location for 10 seconds then, you get back to where you was when you started.
Manacost: 25

(Blink based)

Critterize
Turns an enemy unit/hero into a random lvl 1 (level doesnt matter) for a random number of seconds between 5-20 seconds. 1-10 for heroes.

Hasitate
Orders an enemy unit/hero to hold position a several times to give you an advantage if you are chased.
Cooldown: ?
Manacost: ?


Helicopter
(Must be used by some kind of blademaster) Your blade masters spins so fast that he flies up in the air.
Cooldown: ?
Manacost: ?


Uppercut
Causes the hero to hit an uppercut at a target enemy hero. The uppercut strikes the target so hard that i flies a up in the air. When it lands it takes 75% of its strength.
Cooldown: ?
Manacost: ?


Negatation
Steals all positive buffs at a target unit. Also gives the target a 50% chance to miss.
Cooldown: ?
Manacost: ?


Evade
Causes a target to evade an attack/spell. The cooldown is decreased for every level.
(Passive)

Rune
Gul'dan paints a rune, the rune calls ancient powers that does 150 dmg to enemies within a range of 150 (is increased by every level). Turns 1 unit (none here) within the are to fihgt for Gul'dans side.

Rift of Time
The claws of (casting unit) slashes a hole in the time-window wich causes him to go back 10 sec in time, only effects hp and mana. But the time rift has a 25% chance to stay open for a while wich damages ALL nearby units to take 25 damage/sec.

Meteor: A meteor that falls from the heaven. damages enemies close to where it lands.

Flame Shock: A fast powerfull blast at the target area, deals damage (and maybe knockbacks)

Frost Volley: Fires a frostbolt at all nearby enemies. Damaging and stunning

Hailstorm: Fires "Shockwaves" towards random points close to the target area.

Frost Spike: Pretty simple just an impale. Frost novas instead of the claws.

Thunder: A powerfull lightning at the target point. Deals damage to all close to it.

Storm: Pretty much just a thunder, thats in "lines" towards the target point

Zap: Causes "shockwaves" to shoot out from the caster.

Summons - just some ideas on wich unit could be summoned:

Netherbeast (voidwalker)
Flamespawn (Lava spawn)
Sea/water elemental (...)
Wind Spirit (Wisp, kills itself to damage enmies (kaboom))
Solar Spirit (Wisp, cant damage but has auras)

Stone Toss: (Based on Healing Spray) This is one of my favorites change the animations for little rocks turn up the carnage in the object editor and watch the rocks fly!

Freezing Touch: When ever people attack you they have a 3% chance to get frozen in place for 5 seconds.
(Passive)


Mana Surge: When mana is at 100% you deal 500 damage when mana is at 80% you deal 400 damage and so on.
Cooldown: 60 seconds.
Manacost: 50% Mana


Mana Blink: Depending on your Mana % you will be teleported in front of you to a distance depending on your mana %.
Cooldown: 5 seconds.
Manacost: 5% Mana

Incineration Of Flames

Launches burning bolt of fire at targed enemy unit, Incineration it dealing DoT And creating fiery explosion around the targed if it dies by the effects of this ability.
Levels - 3: 30/45/60 Base Damage 5/8/11 DoT Over 5 Seconds, 50/70/90 AoE Damage if the targed unit explodes.

Mana Displacement

Sacrifices your health in order to recover amount of mana.

Levels - 3: -20/-35/-50 Health, +40/+70/+100 Mana.


Flame Shock

Fills up Mage's mana-veins with fire, Blowing it out creating shock of flames that will deal AoE Damage to units in range, And Knocks them back a distance.

Levels - 3: 25/40/65 AoE Damage, 400 AoE And 250 Knockback distance.

Summon (anything)

Or..

Summon Infernal
Summons an infernal which obbeys it's master for 2 mintues, apon death or elapse of two minutes the infernal explodes causing massive damage to surrounding units and or buildings.

Black Hole: Summons a black hole that will draw any nearby unit close to it. If any unit touches the hole, they will take a large amount of damage.

Supernova: The caster becomes a dying star, after a small amount of time he will explode, dealing damage to any nearby enemy. Then he returns to his normal form.

Solar Armor: Pretty much just like Immolation.

Ok here we go ...

Heat Wave: Creates a wave of heat, this will not deal damage instantly to units being hit. First after 4 seconds they will take XXX damage.

Starcall: Creates a minor star over a target friendly unit, increasing its damage by XX%, armor by X and after 6 seconds, a star will fall on the possition of the target, damaging itself and nearby enemy units by XXX.

Replacement: Replaces the Mage with a Stone, any unit attacking the stone will take X damage, the mage will be replaced back after X seconds.

Fire Rage: This spell outrages the Mage with firepower, it will deal XXX damage to the mage, but double movement, attack and attack damage for 5 seconds.

Flare Wave: Damages nearby enemies by XXX, and creates a major sight bonus by XXXX range for 5 seconds.

Air Shield: Decreases armor by X and makes the mage a Flying unit for XX seconds.

Frost Sphere: Strikes the target enemy unit with Frost Sphere, the target will take XXX damage and be frozen to the ground. While frozen, it takes XX damage every second, after the Frozen effect it will bleed and take major XX damage every second. Frozen lasts for X seconds, Bleed takes X seconds.

Arctic Field - Freeze all units in an Area of 650 for 2 seconds, demages overtime.

Leap Attack - moves you to your target offset by 50-75 facing random 0-360 and demage , also has a chance that it is critical and deal 1.5 of the normal demage set.

Ball of Destroction - Creates a small ball of fire, wich by channeling becomes bigger with each moment, when it reaches it's maximum or is stoped channeling then it will be shoot forward and deal line demage and on the end stun demage with the ball exploding.

Illusion Hell - Creates an illusion of the caster and makes the caster invisible at his original point (he can't move and cast spells at this time) if this illusion dies then the killing unit will have to face many illusions serving the caster , all these illusions have 50% demage and take 300% with each death of an illusion a new one is created . Lasts for 15 seconds.

You know mages are many times uber on the damage, but easy to kill...

Lava Wave - Calls a wave of lava to rush over the unit/hero.
"If you understand what the fuck im saying"

Posion Fart - damaging each unit around the hero and makes them fear in 5 seconds...
If you dont have any ideas of the Cooldown, then try fart and use a stopwatch for each time your able to... lol =p

Mind Break - Makes 150 x (level of target) damage to enemy unit, but daze the mage for 4 seconds. (Cooldown 2 min).

Last Chance - When the mage hits 15% of it's maximum health it will be able to use this ability, it dazes every unit around it for 10 seconds, and makes the mage fear for 3 seconds.

Thirsty - creates water barrel at the front of the mage, but decreases the health of the mage by 75% of current health of the mage. (may not use in combat) (Cooldown 1 minute)

it = the mage
the mage = the one who are using the mage spells/abilities
