when i load the map to play wc3 just freezes and stops working whats the problem ?

U need to set the high configs possible in wc3 ft.

I've been having quite a few problems with it too - I mostly crash in D3 however. I believe that all of my configs are set right, though (Texture and light quality are both "High").

Could I get an official "recommended settings" list for this game to be played on? I hear a lot of random tips to prevent crashing... ranging from rebooting WC3 between each dungeon run to shaking a voodoo rattle before each boss kill.

In all honesty...I have textures on "high", and EVERYTHING else I have is "off" or "low"

Then you should encounter light bugs in D1 and D2 and interiors. Light quality is not causing crashes, but its required for correct displaying of omnilights.
