Hi to all who read.I am new in modeling but i have started do understand stuf and made a few lame models i need help from someone who is good at modeling.To ask him a few questions and to get some answers.

1st - When i make a model in 3ds max how can i make in mdl or mdx format.
2nd - In the editor when i want to change the model file i change it but after that how can i add difrent skin for the new model.

I want to start with these questions.

hmmm which 3D max version you use?

If you use 3D max 5 you can use Art Tools to export from 3d Max to MDL or MDX

The art tools only work with 3d max 4 or 5 (don't post about illegal stuff)

Well i have an original 3D Studio Max 9.And i guest that i wont be able to make my models to be used in WC3

Thanks the first thing works i can export my models in mdl format but the second not.

Oi skrab, I need soem help to... im new to modeling i mean like JUST NOW started... and i cant even figure out how to edit the model ... and my pc wont display the bleeding help menu for it.

if you want just edit models use Oinkerwinkles MDL Editing Tools
or if you want to make new models use 3D MAX, Milkshape, Blender or Gmax.
google some tutorials and start learning
