OK I can make some simple AI and stuff

but I can't get it to where I can choose a unit to send a transmission

example

Let's say I want Illidan to say something

his number is Illidan 0037

However when I look for it in the place where you choose the person who talks, I can never find it

Any ideas?

It probably doesn't match the variable type.

You have to select the unit in GUI inorder for it to be linked to a veriable.

With the talk thing its simply a cinimatic trigger in GUI.

There are 2 types of triggers. GUI and JASS.

GUI is the most basic. YOu have it easy using it. Its basicly the triggers following the:

Event -
Conditions -
Action -

Formula. Its a very easy but limited form of programing.

JASS is basiclly computer programming. As you can see, there is a section of the site with JASS on it, and some websites with JASS.
