make an 3rd resource system that is harvested like the lumber and gold ( so, 2 systems )
the amounts should be listed in a multiboard (every player should have their own board)

i never saw this system

The reason you never seen that is because its very unsafe to create a multiboard for just one player and for another and I think not yet possible to do so in GUI, reason to why it is unsafe is because it has a very high chance to crash the players.

Oh, also you can modify the basic UI if you've seen warlocks they got a time indicator that does something totally different then what it is surpost to do.

Well jass and Vjass and my gui can do it, if you want I can show you my Vjass version and the galaxy editor only copies wc3, so it sucks :grin: .
All the galaxy editor does is just create for you already what was possible in wc3 but you had to make it except in galaxy editor it might be there already...
Well I just took a detailed look at that video link callex gave and saw everything in that video possible in wc's map editor, I know you will not believe me until I have shown you which soon I will because I don't want SC2 to be better then wc3 lol.

By the way BloodStorm2262 I can't get it to work, mind helping me out because it seems interesting use of external programming.

You really can't accept things...

In the multiboard thing - I doubt that's actually a multiboard...

And by the way - InIllidan(evil)x 's map - that is single player. He edited his cursor in the files of Warcraft 3 to change it. In starcraft 2 and the Galaxy Editor - there could be custom cursors for a specific map.

i've some question:

- how to make a hero learn a ability but he got 3 ability? (shadowraze's nevermore, dota)
- how to make an ability can save an integer? (necromastery's nevermore, dota, save integer including change the tooltip)
- how to make custom UI (what i mean is like warcraft diablo 3 inventory system, modern warfare control panel, TKoK skill tree,etc)?
- SIMPLE: how to make dummy unit cast a CUSTOM ability with trigger?

maybe you can make a UI system like inventory, it's very interesting.

The learned ability is a dummy, much like attribute bonus which can be hidden upon being learned, then you add the three abilities to the actual hero based on the level of the dummy ability.

They don't actually save integers, they have multiple levels of the same ability with varied tooltips, to which the interior level is increased upon killing a unit (in nevermores case) The actual leveling up of the ability can be done by jumping to a higher level, for example the levels the ability takes up for "level 1" would be 1-10 to include all the possible integers, and then it would jump to level 11 for "level 2".

This is generally more advanced and requires the knowledge of JASS and trackables. You could simply research one of the systems and learn how to use it. Custom dialog systems are avaiable that will allow these things.

- SIMPLE: how to make dummy unit cast a CUSTOM ability with trigger?
You create a dummy model at the given point and give him the order of the necessary spell with the correct action - "Cast on target","Cast with no target","Cast on point". Abilities that are called via orders call the given ability that is referenced to that order.

A unit can not have the same two abilities with the same order in their ability card without causing trouble. Technically you can, but whenever you try to cast one ability, it will also try to cast the other. One of them will win out, but you don't want that in general. But for example, if you have a custom ability with the "entangle" order, and you tell that unit to cast entangle, it will cast the ability in its ability card with that order string.

Also, GUI is inferior, that is all.

Each game has it's limitations, Warcraft Editor can't do all things, it can EMULATE most stuff, but there are things it was never suposed to do.

I am doing a simple inventory system like in Tkok and after that a skill tree system, it should be done in a week or so, i will let you know when.

EDIT:

Gui is a strict shell around the JASS which is better(no offense), but show me how you can use and manipulate trackables in GUI and i will be impresed :p

I'm not really certain about the energy bar thing, but the actual text of that was floating text. The energy bar/other thing was extremely likely a fade filter and SP.
Illidan's work was done using fade filters or a lot of textured destructibles; you can get the platform in the destructible section of the world editor and change its replaceable texture to a unit icon. Using a dummy unit under that will create a clickable square, which is all that he did. His text was also floating text.
