That's right! My fear of Kaepora Gaebora has worn off (proof can be found in my very own avatar)! He is now my best friend, most intelligent adviser, and most powerful ally. And let's not forget my desktop backround!

Alas, the fear is just a frame of mind. Once you get over the fact that hes talking to link and acts as if link responds, hes great

I watched a video of him (five minutes long) like 3 times when my psychologist posed the question: what's so scary about him? When I couldn't answer, my fear passed.

There was this commercial when I was a kid. It featured a huge squirrel head, with a child's propeller hat and a grin that stretched across two thirds of the TV. The rest was mostly filled with it's big, black, smiling eyes.

The horrid figure would pop up, then after 5 seconds, with a morbidly-pitched voice utter the name of some chocolate product.

I swear, I'm still scared shitless from that squirrel. No, I'm serious. It stalks me through my nightmares.

I got scared shitless from a cover of a book, you know that old book "Goosebumps" that's supposed to be scary but it was just fun reading through different endings? (And cheating Lololol)

Ya anyway, I saw this cover once about some Vampire themed one. There was this Vampire poodle on it staring right at you from the cover.

It fucking scared me shitless, I haven't found that book since then so I'm still scared shitless of that fucking pooch

EDIT: I've found it

So yeah... I was scared of Kaepora Gaebora AND the Lon Lon Ranch song since I was three. Now I have the chance to play Zelda without any trouble! The only problem is that, well... the water temple is a royal pain. Oh yeah, and if you look closely at my avatar, you'll see that it says "ORLY?" and, for replies, it says "SRSLY" and "NO WAI!!"

I spent roughly an hour trying to glitch Zelda: OoT so I could go around that stupid owl, lol. obviously I just had to wait through his long, long, long speech; and then when it was over, I was pressing the A button rapidly so when it said 'Would you like to hear that again?' it was already on yes and I had to wait TWICE! AAKKK! stupid owl.

Anyone who could see into the mind of the developers could clearly tell that was done to troll the player.

That's the exact same shit I did. They go like "GO OVER THE FIRST PAGE AND START AGAIN MUYHAHAHAHA" and I'd be like "Fuck that"

It wasn't the book that scared me, just the picture.

Also, the Halloween one... The Mask I think it was called, that picture scared the SHIT out of me. Plus all the ones with Slappy the demented and psychopathic dummy.
You mean this one?

And I think this is the mask one

Lolol these pictures make me laugh now.

My favorite one was this one where your grandmother is an alien or some shit. Actually theres 2 story lines (The beginning choice in every choice book leads to 2 different story lines)

One was finding out my real grand mother was kidnapped, and the other was that my grand mother was an alien.

The best ending I got was becoming her second hand man and enslaving the human race. I guess that's a "Good" ending. For me at least.

Here it is

That picture makes me LOL so hard now. All the goosebump pictures use to scare me a bit when I was young. Lol.

But seriously, that fucking vampire poodle still scares me when I stare at it for too long... Good times...

Maybe not my desktop backround, but he's my avatar. By the way, if ANYONE wants to rid their fears... get a buddy. Look/listen/etc. to whatever you're afraid of. Let him ask you what's so scary about it. Spend time WITH HIM and your fear for five minutes. When you feel your heart-rate reduced back to normal speeds, have him leave. Now you gotta face it on your own for longer. Ten more minutes and you'll be done!

I've always found pick-your-own-paths to be easier if you read 'em in page order. Confusing yet amusing.

As for the owl thing. Let's face it. Every single cut scene in OoT is designed to make you throw things at the TV. The zZzZzzzz intro, the five hour movies every now and then ... the only good one was when you first entered Ganon's Castle.

"lolol hyrule pwnt lol"

I loved how the Nintendo devs trolled the players by making no the first answer. My friend ended up going through the speech about 5 or 6 times because he was just pressing A and kept hitting no without realising it.

Just so we're clear, lulzy means funny right?Just wanted to make sure.Truth is I guess I'm feeling a little arguementative because you called him a faggot just because he was scared of an owl as a little kid. It's kinda a force of habbit, a lot of people on youtube go around insulting everyone, and argueing with them...actually gets them to not do that for quite some time.So sorry about that, force of habbit. You were just kidding about that though right? The calling him a faggot?I can sorta tell because he hasn't gotten all pissed off at you.

Allright then, see a lot of people are assholes on the internet, but trying to ignore it really bugs me, I feel much better if I just shut them up.9 times out of ten a person means it if they call you a faggot on the internet, there brain leakage need not be controlled because they won't get in trouble for it.Plus, some people actually thank me for shutting them up, so I know at least a few other people are bugged by it too_Once agian sorry about that whole thing.By the way, who's the boss of this site anyway?I've never saw his name anywhere.

Yeah, you're obviously new here so you don't really know how things work when two users who know each other quite well decide to make fun of each other on the internet.

He called me a faggot, I called him a stupid cunt, everybody lols.

I know that sarcasm on the internet is hard to pick up, but if I don't get offended, you don't need to be offended for me.

8500 posts later, I'm perfectly capable of defending myself when needed :p
