Hey Guys and Girls

Here's a shot of my new Cinematic, the Lone Footman.
Its my first time for any warcraft 3 project, map or anything. Hope it isn't too crap! Just to see if its ok I put up a poll.

Cheers People!!!

Sorry for the poor quality, I haven't really taken screenshots before.

It's rather plain, and the road is too straight. Make it weave a bit. Add shrubs and really short grass to the large open space. On the left there is a big whole in the forest where you can see a lot of sky. It doesn't look proper. It looks as if the terrain ends, whereas you should make it seem like the forest keeps going.

Well Gilles actually said everything that I would have, so cheers to Gilles.

Good use of the human campaign screen. The towers look awesome. The cannon, facing the road is a perfect addition, however the brazers look too formal with it, maybe try replacing it with two cannons on either side, with some cannonballs in the middle.
As Gilles said, the sky looks strange -- you should keep sticking trees in there, make it look as if the forest is way bigger. The whole road looks bad, since it is so straight. You should try making it more weaving, as Gilles said - maybe add in spaces between it to make it look unkempt.
The far left tree looks bad, since it goes over directly into sky, which is another problem of a previously mentioned problem. You should also add some life in - try using a footman with the campaign textures and placing it onto the wall, or onto the towers.
Overall, very good terrain, good use of doodads and nice variation. Although there is a very bright green spot in the forest. It looks a bit blurry as well - but that's not your fault. +Rep.

It's barren. The trees are all the same. That isn't natural. Also, the bright-green shrubs that are a little to the left of the center of the pic are really out of place with the whole gloomy-forest look. Those belong in a magical elf forest.

I think this has endless potential, you're on the right track. Throw in some different trees, smooth out the land a bit (it's way too pointy) and add a bit of vegetation/rocks/something to the no-man's land between the forest and the wall.

Like I said, great start, just needs some polishing.

Seeing as the people above me said pretty much everything I would've pointed out, I'll just say I voted for Good, seeing as I like it except for the small misses which should be easy changable.

thanks everyone!!!

I'll fix up those things straight away. Sorry about the bad screenshot!

One thing though, there are actually two elven lieutenants on the wall, but you can't see them in this pic because the camera is too close. I'll fix up the sky part and add some shrubs, and see if I can mess up the road a bit.

with adding more trees... hmm. Don't think I can, because that tree model was from a "high quality texture pack" and the more of them I have in there, the bigger the map gets. If i can find some smaller sized tree models however i will add them in :)

So cheers everyone. I'll upload my other screenies soon.
