A few people find themselves in an unknown location in the dark night.
For most of them, this night will be their last, and for the rest of them, will completely change their lives.



Main Features

  • Violence and gore: Human body is very fragile. Those who meet the chainsaw always die in horrible agony.
  • Unnatural darkness: Use your flashlight or lanterns wisely. Those who need light to see will become natural prey.
  • Realistic chat system: You can hear other players only if you are near them.
  • Randomizing gameplay: Various things are random, from weather effects to your hero characteristics (running speed, stamina, weight, etc.)

The atmosphere is just too awesome to rate it otherwise. You have some really good talent at making horror maps.

EDIT:
I would appreciate it if you added a victory condition for the victims though. Getting hunted down and dying is almost inevitable even if the victims team up to fight the Maniac.

How to kill leatherface?
-You need two Players more
-you need Weapons (like axe-dagger-scythe) especciality the axe(35+ dam)
-All vs Leatherface
-The axe will Attack 36-41 of damage, with the other with dagger will kill the maniac
-Sometimes you need speed to attack and escape of the maniac, with attack-speed you can kill him, but is some dangerous
-Sometimes the maniac have 15/100, you can attack and kill him
-only with the axe you can create breeds and fractures and kill the maniac

Some things:
-is you are camping the maniac will detect you with the sixth sense
-you need to see your mana (stamina) with more than 60, for runing (in my case i rest much)

-Please add more weapons haha =D, and more things?
-like more tipes of medicine?

I plan to add hammer, crowbar, baseball bat, saw, also pipes and wooden planks (with nails).
Maybe exotic and rare weapons like katana, I am not sure yet.

Sure. There will be Laundanum (slowly restores 25 hp), Adrenaline (regen some stamina), Morphine (reduces sanity loss), etc...

I am not a modeller, and I couldn't find anything better.
Although, I have seen very cool chainsaw model on this site =)
But about maniac body model - I can't do it by myself.

you can jump to a lake or into other zones, but the maniac have the molotov :/ and with the molotov he can kill you in a lake or others zones like this

This cost a lot of time for maniac to kill the victim.

Pure Gold Indeed.
Very nice, you made the details well. With these sound effects and lightning system it's just perfect.
I have a few suggestions though.
-How about a fuel system for the Leatherface? So the maniac could find fuel tanks randomly like the victims.
-New item: Smoke Bomb? It could make the game more gripping at some fights.
-Indoor locations? I saw a lot of houses what are burning but not ruined too much so the players could go inside to explore and find items helping their survival.
-The hook is a bit weak. Okay, it's fast and stuff but it can collide with anything. If there is the border of a cliff but there is a ladder where the players can walk the hook just fails :/

A question: I found both blood stained and rusty key. Gone to the boat and neither of the keys fit in it o_O What the hell?

I thought about it, but actually IRL chainsaw can work about 30-40 minutes without refilling.
Also I don't want to make Maniac helpless. Currently he already should search for medicine (in case somebody break his leg or cause severe bleeding...), and if he also would need to search for gas, it would be pain in the ass for him, really.

But about gasoline, I thought to add it as a weapon instrument (like in Manhunt 2 or Postal), so players could spill it on ground and then ignite with matches/lighter.

I am not sure about houses yet, but I want to create whole underground under the map (where maniac lives, actually).
Maybe some houses would be like entrances to it.

Yeah.. I will probably upgrade Hook script in future. At the moment, there are more important things to do (insanity system, underground).

Well we were never able to kill the leatherface. No matter if he played it first time and the 8 victims played it 4-5 times already and know what to do. So I don't think that it would really be a pain for him. Our only chance were that he walked into his own molotov cocktail. Also, he could spawn with one-two extra tank(s).
How about an "old chainsaw"? Like the flashlight in penumbra. It was old so it ate a lot of batteries. Also, how about a battery system for the flashlights?

I will think about it. I know it would be more realistic, but sometimes victim can CAMP in places, which are inaccessible for maniac - that's when cocktail comes to help.
So in this case I would need to edit those places.

I just played a dew days ago and noticed this:

I jumped off the cliff into the pile of hay and my leg broke and I took damage. You could make these hay piles reduce or even null the damage from jump from a level higher place. Also this could prevent the victim from getting a fracture.

The fire doodoads could damage the ones walking into them. Since now if I walk into it, nothing happens.

You could increase the cast range of the jump a bit (around 25) because now it often causes problems.

Fuel for lighter?

There is no fire system at the moment, but I will make it in future.

Bots are glitched. I was the killer with a number of the bots and heard them die without my action, I predict they exhausted themselfs to death, I think it happens when there is barricades in the way.

awesome map dude , got the terrifying atmosphere as the victim.... but.... how exactly do i win the game as the victims? do i keep running for some specific time? do i search for some things to get out of the village? or must i kill the maniac? ( how the hell can i kill the maniac ) and.. what must i do as a ghost

When you hear them "die", they probably just using "Feign Death" ability.
Btw, they will jump over barricades in the next version.

Although it could be very hard to kill him, if you are alone =)

Suggestion for fire system. What about create a dummy using fire model with permanent immolation and locust ability?

Unfortunately I think he abandoned the map since he is offline on my skype ever since the MWS site went down because no one could finance it. He planned the new version 2 weeks since then and about 2 MONTHS passed.. I'm really sad now i even did a translation of the map to Serbian. :vw_sad:

Are you still updating this? The ghost/memory thing isnt good, it makes me want to leave the game. Cause after I've lost I'm pretty pissed off, I would like to see the world normally.

Nothing else important, maybe more buildings for survivors or more interactive/interesting terrain.

The atmosphere is great for horror, but it could be more fps-like. At least more clear.

It is very interesting map and well made. I guess you spent much time making it, and theres almost zero bugs. So people actually should play your map, and they won't regret it undoubtedly. Thanks for making it, I also hope you didn't abandoned the map as the guy above said, 5/5 from me + Rep for the hard work.

Got bug and another problem T_T

sometimes in the rope escape area near the village ( not near the farm ) victim can jump down and still alive with 10-- health... and there is a people that can jump from the edge of the cliff towards the plank and just landed down with safe ( 100 health, no bleeding, no fractures) and sometimes failed (moved to the plank safely)... [look at the attached file... red arrow is if the victim fail to jump and green is if victim made it]

1 more : There are maps that has been injected, maybe you can create a trigger whenever they write with "-" (command always use "-", like "-autoh 100", "-additem 1", "-tele", "-hear", "-addhp 100" etc) they will be kicked or something, because its really annoying to find someone with cheat!

When will the next version come out :goblin_jawdrop: i have waited for years...
