thanks! I'm using this contest to push forward the visuals of Device since it originally had a western flair to it. I'm rexploring and updating this old concept-art of mine. =

Oh I think you know what I was gonna say haha Love those faces. Very good and natural expressions, and the level of detail <3

But I kinda get some Nordic feeling from a few of these guys. But maybe that's bcz I don't know much about Western style. I mostly think of leather jackets, dusters and stuff... Classics

yeah the artstation competition has an open theme. they allow to mix different styles into one, as long as the main feeling is western. I'm going for a more cold western approach like in the hatefull eight movie.

Great character! I really dig the concept. Her outfit idea is nice too, I liked your references, I trust you won't make it a cheesy fantasy fighter with an over-the-top uniform (unless that's the aesthetic that Artstation values the most =P)

As NightStalker said, there's a subtle Nordic feeling, but the overall mix of references looks good and no particular culture stands out - which I guess is what you're aiming for. Good luck with the contest!

quite a lot of photobashing was used. Rendering is still not final. but almost there!

I think it looks fantastic. It has a post apocalyptic futuristic feeling in it too haha I'm getting so many vibes She looks like a very powerful character tho. Loved the design

Started the new character. Since finishing the lady is a no brainer job and I felt inspired jumped onto the new guy insted.

haven't finish with the final rendering for this guy, but just like the lady, I'm moving forward on the other characters first and if I have time then I'll polish them.

Like the others, it's not a final render. Lots of the photobashing stil lfeels really apparent. but I have no time to fix it... must cary on!

Finished carving. The patern changed midways, as I was carving it up.

Presketch, I used some halloween face paint, so that way I could erase the paterns easily with water. (that's a pro tip right there!)
