Since this is my first post i thought i might introduce myself here, I have been with the hive for about a 2 years now, Though i never registered until now, And have been a big fan of the work you guys do here, So i was hoping someone could make a Crystal tree model, It would be very useful for my current project If anyone is up to it, Thanks :thumbs_up:

i would suggest using some tree models that you like and placing ingame crystal model in and through trees.
at least thats what i am doing for my crystal forest. its a lot simpler and better than making a new model for it. in case you are having difficulties finding the model: its a doodad: Icecrown glacier: environment.
you can even change the tinting colour of it (if you need red, green or whatever). but note that you need to change it for all 9 variations - make use of ctrl+C ctrl+V

;D

Every tree can easily made into a crystal tree.
You need Magos Model Editor. (look at Tools section)
Then open Magos, go to Window -> MPQ-Browser -> File -> war3.mpq
Now find a tree somewhere (I think it's at Doodads)
Double-click on the .mdx file to open the file in the editor.
Now go to Window -> Material Manager.
Find the Material that uses the texture of the tree.
Now choose the "Filter Mode" "Add Alpha"
Press okay everywhere and enjoy the result.
Don't forget to save (you have to put .mdx behind the filename or you'll get an error.

Thanks for the useful suggestions, I think these ideas will work :D, So i guess this thread can be removed, Anyway +Rep to you guys
