I got a model off of a website were the person took it from a different game ok. The model was a .3ds, alright and all of the 18-20 or so textures where .tga and so I converted the .3ds to a .mdl and converted about 3/4 of the .tga files to .blp but the other 1/4 or so, when i tried to convert them said "these are not .tga files" even though they say right there ".tga". Now that may be part of the problem but how can I find out the model path for something not created especially to be used in WC3 but just a general model (yes I know I'm am probably going to need to change stuff with the animations of it and things but I just wanna see if i can even see it right now). I am a VERY noob modeler (a.ka. never made a model to date but has programs to do it) so can i get some help?

First off...paragraphs.

Second, do you have permission to mess with this model? Otherwise take it somewhere else.

Well the guy posted it on a site people can use it (I didnt hack or steal it or anything) and if i give him credit it should be ok right? Im not changing the model or textures at all other than the type of file it is.

Fine.

By model paths, do you mean texture paths?

First I mean the wc3 world editor import manager paths for either/both textures and/or model

Second no he didn't but I was gonna give credit to nintendo too

Yada yada, sorry buddy, we don't support this.
