Missing military rank buff attachments

Hiho,

for my upcoming Line Tower Wars map I need a goot way to distinguish tower of the same tower type but with a different upgrade level.
For this I don't want to change the tower's model as this leads to confusion and I don't want to change colors or scalings as this usually looks terribly bad.

However, with B1oodwork's military rank buff attachments it would be very easy to create a visually pleasant distinguishability between such towers.
Link: http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/models.php?search=rank&d=list&r=20&u=B1oodwork

The problem is that B1oodwork is inactive since nearly 2 months and I don't really expect a response of my request to him because of that.

As my towers have 6 different upgrade stages and his uploads span 4 different models I am in need of at least 2 other rank models similar to his style.

What would be a perfect fit:
- A rank 2 model would be awesome since he uploaded rank 1 and rank3 but no rank 2.
- A rank model between rank 3 and rank 6 or rank 6 and rank 9.

Regards,
Robbepop

I decided to remake the models and used plain orange in-game texture.
I have no concept of the "skipped ranks" so I did what I could.

The geosets are taken from his models.

Hiho,

wow that was fast! 0.o

Your rank models look very good.
I tried them ingame and these are the results:

Normal Perspective:

Zoomed-In:

As you can see, in the normal perspective one can't really see the outlines of the rank1, rank2, rank3 and rank4 models. So could you slightly increase the distance of each line within those rank models? The stars are totally fine.

The next thing is that all models are much too big and nearly as big as the unit they are attached on. So could you reduce their sizes to about 50% of their current size?

That's it and I thank you once again very much for your hard work!

I will give credits to the original creator as well.

Regards,
Robbepop

edit: btw: somehow, I can't rep your post. :(

Hiho,

the new size and the removal of the semi-transparency was a good choice.
However, I think you forgot to rescale the particle effect as well - at least it doesn't look too pleasing ingame at the moment.

Could you remove those particles or adept their effect to the new size?
I would go for a removal or make the particle effect really much less large.
