Memoria ORPG is looking for hero ideas that ORPG players want see and play once Memoria is released. Here is what we have so far:

1. Heroes will come in 3 tiers

Tier 1 heroes will be your basic ORPG heroes.
This includes Warrior, thief, archer, and mage.
We might add a fifth class if any good ideas emerge.
Tier 1 heroes will have basic spells and abilities that can only get you so far until you have to upgrade to tier 2.

Each class is drastically different than the other

-Warriors are melee tank heroes that have lots of HP and strength but low intelligence bla bla bla you know the rest

-Thieves are melee dps heroes with high agility and a high attack but are more fragile than warriors

-Archers are ranged support heroes that can deal massive amounts of damage to just one unit. They are skilled trackers with a long range of sight and can place traps.

-Mages are ranged magic heroes with high intelligence that are skilled in using many spells to attack and defend. They are the most fragile of the classes but their magic can aid them against that.

(I will go into more detail later in this thread)

Tier 2 Heroes are more specialized than tier 1 heroes.

For example if you were a warrior or a mage as your first class than you can be a shaman. Shamen are melee warriors mixed with spell casters to make it a dynamic duo. Also they will have nature spells and will be part of the light force.

Tier 3 Heroes will have an opposite of themselves.

For example archer > crossbowman/assasin/pirate/etc > ranger of the light/dark ranger

In Memoria ORPG you get choose your final destiny as you last tier. Do you want to be good or betray them and turn to the dark side.

2. Heroes can carry up to two weapons in their hands

Yes the inventory system allows you to equip something for your right hand and something for your left hand. You can have either one of these:

- a two handed weapon (a great sword for warrior or a bow for archer, etc...)
- two smaller weapons (dual blades for thief, etc...)
- a small weapon and a shield (for warrior and battlemage later on, etc...)
- just a small weapon (not recommended during boss fights:eekani:)

3. Heroes will have different armor for classes

Yep again the inventory system kicks in to offer some quality game-play.

Each hero class will have a type of armor out of one of these:
-plate mail (warrior)
-chain mail (thief)
-leather (archer)
-cloth (mage)

Note: PLATE MAIL ARMOR IS NOT BETTER THAN CLOTH ARMOR, ALL ARE EQUAL!

Sure plate mail gives you more armor but its very bulky and heavy. Cloth gives less armor but also gives other attributes that help that particular hero class like bonus mana regen, more intelligence, spell damage reduction, or item abilities. How often do you see a ninja with plate mail armor, never they stick to cloth or leather for agility and bonus speed.

4. Heroes will not have any passive abilities

That's right no passive abilities, well not as one of their 4 main abilities anyways.

Heroes will get their passives from weapons and armor they find or buy.

For example: a hero picks up a sharp sword, along with the sword damage, there might be a certain percentage of critical strike in there or if the sword is really sharp it might have cleaving attack.

If a hero picks up a doom hammer, it might come with life stealing properties and a chance of bash.

If a hero picks up a shield he might get evasion, protection from ranged attacks, the defend ability, and as well some extra armor.

If a hero picks up a war banner, it boosts team stats like attack speed, movement speed, etc...

This eliminates the need for hero abilities to contain passive ones that you can never click, so they might as well be on items.

5. Potions and Scrolls

These items will be available to any class and go in the extended inventory which has 10 slots. (Ill talk about this later in this thread)

Potions obviously have the power to boost your health and mana, but also they can give you blood-lust, make you invisible or invincible for some time.

Scrolls can teleport you to the nearest town but can also give you small spells like fire ball or can remove buffs.

6. The Inventory System

Basically its where you keep all your items:
-10 potions/scrolls/quest items
-20 weapons/armor for you hero
-30 backpack slots to keep useless items to sell

Here it is: View attachment inv.doc

7. Spells and Abilities

These are not fully though of yet, but we have a pretty good idea on what each hero should have.
Like mages should have a similar ability to mana shield because they have more mana than HP.
Archers should have a pet hunting dog, etc...

Finally I finished this long post (it took me an hour) so if you want some of your ideas for Memoria ORPG (like heroes, abilites, spells, items, or systems that you really want) take a minute and post them here.
