I recently uninstalled then re-installed wc3, but for some reason I now can't find the latest version of the map I was working on, all my other maps are there except anything I have recently worked on.

I've set my folder options to unhide files but they're still not showing up and done a search of my whole computer and all I can;t find are they "shortcut" files to the versions I need, I click on these and it says file not found and they are only 1 kb.

The shortcut seems to lead them to my map folder but they're just not there in my maps folder, it seems like my computer has deleted them when I uninstalled but why would it do this to some and not the others? This has never happened before when I uninstalled wtf is going on!

I can't believe I have lost all this work, I don't think I have the will to do it all again :( maybe i shud just quit modding

ooo dang that really sucks sry. umm u can try manually sorting through the backup files as it may of changed the name. easiest way would be to search for the file type to shorten the amount of files u have to look through but this would be the last step u could try. i hope u find ur map. if i could think of something else to try ill tell you. also i believe there are file restore programs out there but im not sure if there are any free ones.
