Make a unit attack air first

Suppose I have a unit that has two attacks: a really strong air-only attack, and a weak ground-only attack.

How do I get it to attack air units first, and only attack ground units if there are no air units nearby? (And then starting attacking air again if a new air unit comes in range)

When the unit is created, set the event of another player to unit comes within X range of the unit, with the conditions unit equal to flying and is an enemy unit.
This is a theoretic idea, but in my head it works ^^

Wouldn't that cause a bit of lag, if the enemy creates, say, 200 units?

Or if all units should be doing this increase the priority in OE of the air units and lower the ground one`s

I decided to redesign the unit instead, but thanks for the tip about priority.
I guess this thread is solved now.
