macs are notoriously incompatible with windows applications

The main crash is from icons. I know there is a crash with certain maps when loaded on a mac (e.g. Gaia's Retaliation, Shadows of the Past), but I haven't looked for what the source of the crash is.
It may have something to do with the icons after all, or BLP's in general:

Weep is pretty much the saint for mac-users.
Most of the other crashes are rumors. Some were actually fixed in specific patches (e.g. 1.24c "Fixed a crash when using the CreateImage native on PPC Mac."), but Blizzard is often vague about it that we don't have a proper record of what crashes anymore.
