Alright, so I play Warcraft III and enjoy it. However, I would like to learn how to make my own maps. I have a Windows computer and I have played around with modeling and triggering, so I know the basics of the editor. Unfortunately, it's just not the same as my mac.

On my Mac, whenever I try to do a trigger of any kind, my map will not run. It usually crashes when I open the trigger menu. I know that Blizzard no longer supports the editor for Mac, but is there any way to still use it for things? Or is there another editor that I could use on my mac?

Thanks for the help!

This is why Macs suck.

A message from PC.

Seriously dude there is a wagon full of issues with Mac and WC3, 1. Being the WE. If you want to use the WE get a PC with Windows XP, there are other Mac-WC3 issues too, so just get a PC. Also if you get Vista your equally screwed.

Yeah, that helped a lot.

Subject: Warcraft III World Editor on intel mac

Hello Blizzard
It feels like you have stopped supporting the World Editor on the intel mac.
I really wish to develop using the World Editor but it crashes every second mouse action.
For example, create a new map, go to trigger editor, rename the default trigger and click away. It crashes.
I really wish you would assign a developer to work just a few hours to make it better for intel macs.

Thanks,

Ralle (owner of www.hiveworkshop.com )

Greetings & Salutations!

Thank you for contacting Blizzard Entertainment Technical Support. My name is Lucy, and I'll be happy to assist you.

Blizzard did not develop the editor and does not support it. We paid royalties to include it in our games, but we didn't create it. It was created by a 3rd party which has since gone out of business. I apologize for any inconvenience.

Thank you,
Lucy T.

I believe the reason why the editor works so bad is because it was made for the PowerPC mac and they have no plans to port it to Intel.

I am sorry.

I look forward to SC2.
