Hello, thank you for your feedback.I changed chapter 7 (LotC) because I wasn't happy at all. The map was way bigger then it should have been and the creeps felt like a distraction from the humans vs orcs conflict. Also the tower defense gameplay didn't feel that good. Overall the map just took too long to complete in my opinion. The techtree for the player isn't as big to support a playtime of this magnitude (around 90-120 minutes I think). Now you could argue that I took the easy way out, and instead of coming up with some middle ground solution to make the experience tighter but keep the epicness I just copied the gameplay of numerous blizzard base buildings maps. It might have been done differently, by focusing more on the siege aspect of the story, by making Durnholde a real fortress instead of a village.
I believe I hit a much better middle ground with DotD, and here I must say I don't understand where you are missing the epicness. The general map layout and objectives are still the same, only a bit smaller so there isn't as much downtime to gameplay. Epicness should be provided plenty by the final dragon fight which was barely changed. Playing with controllable dragons was a lot of fun (for me), as they also served as much better air units than the gryphons.
Overall I am happy with those maps, as they feel less stressful and not as stuffed. Maybe it's really just the size of the maps that feels wrong to you. I can understand that longer distances can create a form of tension.
The Last Guardian hasn't really had that similar BIG update. It's been mostly cosmetics and some smaller fixes in the latest update. I have no plans to update it.
