Far as I know there is one tutorial how to make war3 models and it is the ArtTools Documentation. And you have some nice tutorials in 3d max 5 help tutorials. And if you want something more just google it

go to wc3campaigns.com and look in the tutorial section under modeling, theres about 20 tutorials on modeling in 3ds 5.
