Some notes:

* This is not yet a "staff position." Please do not treat it as such.

* Do not sign up if you expect some sort of reward. There is none. Do it because you like to help.

* If you sign up, don't spam the Introductions forum.

Thank you.

Sounds interesting. It will definatley give more time for the admins and such, who are doing this now, to do more important things that are more specific to their jobs. We'll need a variety of these posts though. Some related to different positions. For example if they say they are interested in modeling have a post related to modeling stuff.

This is a great idea, I was thinking about suggesting this, but it would seem that you beat me to it.

There is however a problem with what you expect the helpers to post when welcoming new members.

When a member posts an introduction thread, it wouldn't feel very welcoming to the member if the first response is a generic pre-written response. You want to give new members the best welcome you can give, I believe every response should be typed, rather than copy and pasted, but still contain the same info.

Hm. I'm intrigued. The new members have to be introduced to the site if we want them to know where to post their questions, suggestins etc. It is our duty to do so and help Hive be a place friendly for all where everyone finds what he/she needs.
