Looking for development people

I am looking for map makers to work on one map at the time. How would it work? I would be the map maker (terrain, triggers, units etc.) and I need someone to work with (something like testers) that would working on the map with me. For example - I would make new version of the map and we will play the map via multiplayer battlenet, test it and get usefull new ideas from the testers or me to make the map better. All "testers" will be credited. This is non commercial project. If you are interested we can meet in some program. For example Skype - I didn t use it for a long time so we must discuss how to communicate. I will be happy for any people that would be interested in this project.

You should explain what kind of map you're trying to develop. Also, I don't think anyone uses Skype anymore, Discord would be far superior.

From personal expreince the best way to get play testers is to go on Warcraft 3 custom game Discords. There's a whole lot of them, if you join the Warcraft 3 United Discord server they have a whole tab of affiliated communities where you can look for play testers.

Alternatively you can jsut upload your map to Hive and hope someone picks it up and tries it, that's what I've been doing ontop of coordinating through Discord.

+ Depanding on the map idea I might be willing to play test for you a bit.

Hey! I recently jumped into active map development myself, and trust me—you're starting off on the wrong foot!

First, introduce your project properly—make it interesting! Share your vision, get people excited. Then, put together a basic playable build and maybe some short videos showcasing the game—its systems, gameplay, and other key features. If your project is engaging, active players will offer to help on their own!

That’s exactly how I built a solid community. Now, I have an active team right in my project's Discord group, where all updates are posted. Any fresh build gets tested immediately without me even asking—just the best Hive community I’ve ever seen! 🚀

Huh. Honestly, that info about there being Discord channels for testing maps is good to know. I may have to look into that at some point if I ever decide to return to my old map. I had a hard time getting any feedback on it. I guess that's why...
