Yeah, WC3 is like that. It can only support X amount of lights in a small area... usually it just makes massively retarded square shit with lighting :}
could it be that this problem exist only since a little time? (perhaps since patch?)
i can remember a time that i had no problems with lights except for little mistakes on the terrain but doodads were ever affectet by them. and now it seems that some lights (particularly from ingame models like torch or laterns) dont work and desappear with a special camera angle and dont appear again.
That only happens in-game, when it divides the lighting sharply on the 512*512 grid. This is not your problem here (this can also be negated to some extent by increasing your graphics settings, namely:lights (possibly turning occlusion on as well).
But, I digress. That ain't your problem here. Sorry to say I dunno whut is. Upload the map, perhaps?
