Light/Glow/Shine effects, any models/ideas?

Hello,
I want some sort of shine/glow effect, which I can palce around e.g. lanterns to give it a shine/light effect at the night.

I have seen some models like this here before, but couldn't find it/them by searching.

If you don't know any models like this, maybe you know a good model I can set the default scale to 0.01 and get a glow effect?
