life drain target allies

i have an ability based off of life drain, but even when i set the allowable targets to "friend", when i test it in-game, it says "must target enemy units"

Life drain can't target friends, there was a thread about this somewhere. You will have to trigger it if you wanna do it.

how can i trigger it? or is there another channeling ability that can target allies?

Or you can make your hero to treat as enemy the target unit,just when the spell is casted.

There is channel, that can be whatever you want.

Then you trigger all else.

but if i cant target allies, then i cant cast the spell, so how would i do that?

is there another targeted channel ability besides lifedrain and shackles? (i wan the target to be able to move)

Don't double post.

Set Channel's Data - Options to visible and Data - Target Type to Unit Target. Then trigger the effect.
