Lazer Beam effect

Guys. I want to turn the Chain Lightning effect into a Solid Green Lazer beam for a space ship im modeling.

WHat specific model or texture files would I need to alter?
Is chain lightning an animation that takes place or a particle emitter?

It's a lightning effect that needs to have its texture changed. You then have to edit the lightning slk file or something.

thanks.... i did that but unfortunatley, the fastest you can get the slk engine to recycle is 1 shot per second.... ill have to use a projectile model
