Map Info

This map I created it for a mini-mappin' contest, i forgot which one it was but that is irrelevant now.

You play as the Gatekeeper of the Underworld, you slay souls from fallen heroes/units and when you do, you gain souls and with those souls you can summon units to help you capture even more souls. When you have reached the amount needed for that level, you will recieve the ability to send those souls to Lucifer, if you do not achieve the amount of souls and send them to Lucifer by the timer ends, you loose. Be swift, research stuff, summon units and be ready for battle, this is a really fast-[hased game.

Features


Really fast-phased gameplay, you control one heroe and its summons. You can research improvements, summon units and improve your hero.

About the map


The current gatekeeper of the unerworld went on vacation and he picked YOU to cover for him, if you do not achieve the amount of souls required for Lucifer, he will take your soul.

Author's Notes


Uhmm, it was for the mini-mappin' contest and I though well, it is quite decent, why would I just have it sittin' in my computer when, you know... People could be diggin' it. I will be updatin' it very often, I really enjoyed makin' this map!

I weigh the fields differently. For instance Gameplay is a lot more important than spells.
TRIGGERS
  • Don’t use dying unit / casting unit / entering unit use triggering unit.
  • The only time you need and conditions is inside an or conditions block.
  • Anything with center of / position of / offset / random point leaks.
  • Anything used twice or more should be stored into a variable and the variable should be used.
  • Your leaks definitely need to be fixed or they will start to lag on some computers.

SPELLS
  • The spells will eventually cause lag.
  • They are unique.
  • 2/5
TOOLTIPS
  • The tooltips look good. Haven’t seen anything wrong yet.

TERRAIN
  • The terrain is different and interesting and fits the story well.

GAME MESSAGES
  • The game messages are good in the beginning.
  • They are informative.
  • You tell us what we have to kill but you should also ping one of the souls to kill in the beginning as it is a little unclear on what they are.

  • It is a little short though. It would be better if you showed a little more.

I fixed most of the stuff you mentioned, removed unnecessary special effects and I'd say I removed all leaks, I also revamped some zones and fixed other stuff.
