Hey! I had this idea about a crazy map with tons and tons of items! This map will be a pvp map probably a triangle type aos. My first idea was to create tons and tons of different items that you can get all over the map! Also the map will include hidden bosses and quests to complete aside the pvp action that will be offered on the lanes! So i am searching for a few dedicated people to start off this project, mainly a triggerer and terrainer. If you dont want to be a part of it but you want to suggest a few items, go ahead! Ofcourse this map will have advanced heroes also!

Here is something i was working on. From the city you can expand your journey in 4 directions. One is the lane you can advance to clear attacking villages. When you defeat a village more powerful monsters start to come from the next village. To defeat a village you need to kill a unique boss there, this unique boss can be killed only once in a game and drops unique items! After clearing a village, more actions open to you! 2 main actions is a new dungeon inside the village that will also have a unique boss as all dungeons will have. Also you will have a new shop to browse for new items from the locals in the village. Every dungeon has a respawn time of 30 minutes, so if you want to clear a dungeon again for new loot you need to wait 30 minutes or simply restart. But restarting will reset the progress and you need to clear the villages again. To defend from the villages you can upgrade the towers in your base, or you can just agree with a few of your mates that you take turn who defends the village! Also every 15 minutes, a boss will be launched from these villages according to the village that you reached. This boss drops unique items as every other boss! Don't forget that this game will have quests that you can complete to gain more unique items. If you have anything other to suggest please leave a post and we will discus it!

Dont forget that this map will have special hidden challenges, quest givers, and dungeons! So it will be fun to play! We are recruiting a few active members to work on this map, if you are one of them aplpy now!

Does the range switch back when you drop the item then, or you may not be able to drop the item?

There is a way. Make two upgrades. The first one has a positive range bonus value. The second one has a negative range bonus value. I used +25 and -25. Set the levels of the upgrades to a top value, I suggest not much higher than 1 000. I tried 10 000 and it makes the WE lag a lot.

Sample triggers below.

      • Player - Player 1 (Red) types a chat message containing + as An exact match
    • Conditions
    • Actions
      • Player - Set the current research level of +25 range to ((Current research level of +25 range for Player 1 (Red)) + 1) for Player 1 (Red)

      • Player - Player 1 (Red) types a chat message containing - as An exact match
    • Conditions
    • Actions
      • Player - Set the current research level of -25 range to ((Current research level of -25 range for Player 1 (Red)) + 1) for Player 1 (Red)
In theory it should work to set the max research level as the triggers are activated which would allow us to keep increasing the max research level thus never hitting a cap, but I couldn't make it work.
  • Player - Set the max research level of -25 range to ((Max research level of -25 range for Player 1 (Red)) + 1) for Player 1 (Red)
  • Player - Set the max research level of +25 range to ((Max research level of +25 range for Player 1 (Red)) + 1) for Player 1 (Red)
Pro: You may increase/decrease range.
Con: Limited amount of increases/decreases unless one gets that max research level going.

Just a suggestion on the consumables.

Because instant potions can be a bit overpowered and quickly change a match I usually make pricey potions regenerate a low/medium value over 3-5 seconds (combat consumable). While if the player would like a cheaper higher value it regenerates over a longer 9-15 seconds. Such as meat, stew and water (non-combat consumable).

I was thinking of a save code whatever the genre is(If it's an AoS then it will be original). A good save code would be one that is foolproof. I was thinking that the first three letters of the save code should be the first 3 of the player's name. To make it foolproof it should be like M=a, m=A, N=b, n=B and so on. for the items use ^=1, %=2 and so on. For the item code h=F, 0=!, 9=@ and so on. Levels should be 0=!, 9=@ and so on.

e.g.Wkk^F!!)%F!!9$F!!*#F!!&@F!!^!F!!%

@Wanza, At the current moment i am only searching for ideas and items to be added to the database. At the moment i am working my self on a gem system. As you can see i allready added trash and common type gems.

names arent that really usefull. After we go to epic and further the names of the items will contain a name of the dropper or seller. For example:

Gregors Hatchet
Gregors Helmet
Gregors Set

There is a way. Make two upgrades. The first one has a positive range bonus value. The second one has a negative range bonus value. I used +25 and -25. Set the levels of the upgrades to a top value, I suggest not much higher than 1 000. I tried 10 000 and it makes the WE lag a lot.

Sample triggers below.

  • Plus25
    • Events
      • Player - Player 1 (Red) types a chat message containing + as An exact match
    • Conditions
    • Actions
      • Player - Set the current research level of +25 range to ((Current research level of +25 range for Player 1 (Red)) + 1) for Player 1 (Red)
  • Minus25
    • Events
      • Player - Player 1 (Red) types a chat message containing - as An exact match
    • Conditions
    • Actions
      • Player - Set the current research level of -25 range to ((Current research level of -25 range for Player 1 (Red)) + 1) for Player 1 (Red)
In theory it should work to set the max research level as the triggers are activated which would allow us to keep increasing the max research level thus never hitting a cap, but I couldn't make it work.
  • Player - Set the max research level of -25 range to ((Max research level of -25 range for Player 1 (Red)) + 1) for Player 1 (Red)
  • Player - Set the max research level of +25 range to ((Max research level of +25 range for Player 1 (Red)) + 1) for Player 1 (Red)
Pro: You may increase/decrease range.
Con: Limited amount of increases/decreases unless one gets that max research level going.

Now what you can actually do is use one upgrade, and when the hero drops the item just set the upgrade for that player to -1 (or how much you want)

I thought about it, i have a small idea here. There will be 3 maps. 1 single player where you complete quests and stuff. (main map)
PvP map. In this map you gain pvp points (lumber) Lumber can eventually used in single player for special things and special unique items. (pvp)
Dungeon map. Team up with your friends to complete dungeons to gain unique items and have fun. (team gameplay)

Please comment on my idea!

sounds like single to make a character save it to get a code than you go to the Multiplayer one load your character and do dungeons with people.

Single player will have quests and stuff like that, multiplayer versions that are PvE and PvP are for multiplayer. Altho i need to change the stats for PvP because would be unfair if people loaded lvl 100 and others only started playing.

It's a really good idea to have a map which one plays alone and then one can challenge each other in a sort of PvP arena map. Yet I think the items and heroes and such should be the exact same. Since (how I understood it) items is what really matters, not primarily the Hero. And since there aren't any requirements to wear items, technically a low level 1 could be as strong as a level 100 (don't know max level).

EDIT: But don't forget to disable cheats for singleplayer :p

Another Idea

Eldubs, i have an idea of some items,
in the legendary section, i see many satan item, so it will be great if you make the opposite of the satan's item, like "Angel item" or so :)

Like UTM for terrainers!
Add epic large number of items, from group them like this:
My example (you can create poll and see what people think as well):

Weapons:
-Dagger
-Sword (Can be 2 handed -> Doesn't stack with Shield)
-Javelin
-Bow (Doesn't stack with Shield)
-Axe (Can be 2 handed -> Doesn't stack with Shield)
-Staff
...

Armors:
-Helm
-Body Armor (Can be light and heavy -> heavy can reduce ms a little :) but increase armor better than light)
-Shield
-Boots
-Gloves
...

Misc
-Ring
-Necklace
-Book
-Orb
...

Herbs
-Forest
-Sand
-Water
...

Material
-Crystal
-Dust
-Wood
-Ore
...

And so on!
Using levels instead of item classes you can create infinite number of combinations just like I already explained this in my tutorial :D

and so on and so on, with your classes as well
so you have unique, common swords and so on...

This can be really great, any map maker can dl map import data fro your map or even start RPG on it.

Create credit list, and abilities for items as well as cool descriptions and so on.
