Hey guys, I'm making a boss fight and its almost completed but I've no idea about the loot(dropped item).
Can anyone give me some idea?
Because of the boss is fire-type so the idem should be fire-type also.
Currently I only have a sword idea, and that's enough for it.
So please give me some idea on:
  • -Armor
  • -Gloves
  • -Shield
  • -Cape
  • -Helm
  • -hood
  • -staff
  • -dagger/bow

1. Item's name: Flame Hood
Item's Description: A hood which is said to have powers. This cloak has a special material that is impervious to fire and removes all negative buff's at the holder.
History: The Flame Hood was made by Professor Von Drake to give humans the power to fight off dragons, but unfortunately (BOSS NAME) got ahold of it. Now this hood is still being searched by some of Von Drakes followers.
Gives: + 3 Int
Ability: Removes all negative buffs
Type: Hood

2. Item's name: Infernus
Item's Description: This helmet is said to have been a skull of a legendary warrior which is said to manipulate fire very well. It makes the hero have a chance to double the attack damage dealt to the opponent.
History: Appoloneir, a legendary warrior who is said to control even the flames of the sun, wore this helmet before anyone could. But when it fought (BOSS NAME THAT IS WATER-BASED), he lost. But brave soldiers got his grave and forged his skull into a helmet. But (BOSS NAME) ambushed these soldiers and kept the helmet for his treasure.
Gives: + 15 Damage
Ability: Chance to double the damage dealt.
Type: Helmet

3. Item's name: Sun Sheild
Item's Description: The Sun Sheild was found in an ancient temple deep in a volcano. The Sun Sheild belonged to a group called Helions, which were people who worship the sun. It gives the weilder a chance to absorb enemies mana or make them miss an attack.
History: Ancient Helions were very smart. They built this sheild by harnessing the energy of the sun. It was kept and passed on by their elders for generations. It was said to cause the unthinkable at a solar eclipse. But one of the elders grandson challanged (BOSS NAME) into a fight which made him die, and thus causing the end of the Helions with nobody to lead them.
Gives: + 5 Int and + 5 Armor
Ability: Mana Drain and Makes the opponents miss some of their attacks.
Type: Sheild.

Firstly, I can't say any values for stats, since I don't know how much what is in your map, so I apologize for that :p

Name: Chestplate of the Furious Flames
Item's Description: The Chestplate of the Furious Flames radiates flames, which damages nearby units?
Gives: Fire resistance, health/str and armor?
Ability: (Passive) Immolation
Type: Armor

Name: Fire Runed Gloves
Item's Description: The Fire Runed Gloves was crafted for usage by fire magi, and will gather energy when a spell is cast, and unleash the energy as flames, when a certain level of energy has been reached
Gives: Fire resistance, int, and increases spell power by X (Again, I don't know values :p)
Ability: (Passive) For every spellcast/ranged attack (Don't know what the mechanics are in your map around casters) a stack is gained, and when this buff reaches a certain amount of stacks, the next ability cast will fire a fireball too.
Type: Gloves

Name: Aegis of the Flame Legion
Item's Description: The outside of this shield is lit by an everburning flame, which burns attackers, but increases fire resistance
Gives: Fire resistance, health/str and armor
Ability: (Passive) Every attack inflicts 5% of the damage to the attacker
Type: Shield

Name: Sunscale Mantle
Item's Description: This cape has been imbued with the powers of the sun, giving it the ability to shortly blind enemies close to the wearer.
Gives: Fire resistance, damage, agi
Ability: (Active) Stuns every enemy within 800 range for 3? seconds
Type: Cape

Name: Firefury Helmet
Item's Description: Flames are burning on the very outside of the helmet, but the wearer doesn't feel it, but when the wearer attacks someone, the target most certainly will.
Gives: Fire resistance, damage, attack speed
Ability: (Passive) Critical Strike
Type: Helm

Name: Hellfire Staff
Item's Description: Fel energy flows around this staff, magnifying the wearers powers, making their spells reach new heights.
Gives: Increases spell damage
Ability: (Passive) Critical Strike
Type: Staff

Name: Ignitus, Blessed Bow of the (Flamewalker, Fire Lord, whatever your boss is :p)
Item's Description: This magical bow lights your arrows when you fire them, greatly increasing the harm they do, while the wearer can unleash its magical energies to greatly increase his agility for a short time.
Gives: Damage, attack speed, agility
Ability: (Active) Increases agility by X (High amount :p)
Type: Bow

The boss fight is basically planned. But it's still can be improved.

Periodical Skill:

-Pryofrenzy(berserk)
-Volcanic Blast(fan of knife)

I'd just like to see a little... explanation for the abilities, since I've seen bosses in Wc3 being pretty "meh", especially to a end-game raider :)

Okey, here you go.
Periodical Spell:
-Rain of fire
Calls down 1 wave of fire rain dealing 355 damage along with with 35 dps to 500 AoE. Last 4 seconds.

-Flame Strike
Inflicts whole(bossfight) area with flame dealing 75 dps. Last 15 seconds.

-Pryofrenzy
Increase the boss's as by 125% but taking 200% damage for 5 seconds.
Best timing for spaming skill

-Volcanic Blast
3 volcanic blast is fired to the nearest target dealing 200 damage.

Passive Ability:
-Incinerate
Same as normal melee map's

Is it enough?

Firstly, I like the Incinerate ability, it makes it required to have two tanks, good way to force that :p

But other than that it seems kinda... Gearcheck, is is supposed to be that?

Heh, sorry, I'm kinda used to WoW forums.

But basically, there's 4 different types of encounters;
Gearcheck - Not much avoidable damage, you just gotta heal up, and there's minimal skill requiments (Moving a little, spreading out and short extra-damage windows don't requires much skill :p)

Fight for survival (FFS! :D) - Every player gotta try to stay alive, by avoiding stacks, don't stand in things like fire, and if everyone stays alive, these encounters should be ez-mode :p

Tank'n'spank - Just tank the boss, get as much aggro as possible, and then kill the boss... This is fights where there's a lot of unavoidable damage, but without requiring high dps

DPS race - Kill the boss before it kills you... The boss got an enrage (Soft or hard), which requires you to kill the boss before it begins overwhelming the healers or oneshotting the tanks

So, on a second thought, this boss is something between tank'n'spank and gearcheck :p

Okay, here we go :p

We'll keep the passive, I like that one, so
Passive abilities:
Incinerate - Same as Wc3

Active abilities
Volcano - Creates a volcano at a random player, after 3 seconds, the volcano will erupt, dazing nearby players, and damaging them.

Fiery Aura - Permanent damage to every player ever 3rd second.

Flaming Walls - Casts a shockwave ability at a random player, which is moving somewhat slowly, and can be avoided

Pyrofrenzy - Same as yours, but when it ends it will trigger...

Phase 2:
The boss will "burrow", and will spawn 3 volcanos, which works like in P1, but every volcano will spawn an add (An Inferno or Fire Lord?)
Phase 2 ends after about 30 seconds (?), and the boss will return to P1

I`ll try to suggest everything in this single post. Let`s start:

Armor:(I guess that with armor you mean chest+legs) Armor of the Divine Flames.

The Armor of the Divine Flames is the armor <<boss name>> beared for many centuries. It has been forged by himself. The one who wears it is almost invisible to fire attacks, as if the armor just recieves fire energy from every fire attack it recieves.

For stats, give it low in general. Just the usual. HP/armor/etc. Because of the strong passive.

The ability is to convert every fire attack/skill the bearer of the armor recieves to heal. It`s easy to make an trigger for this.



Gloves:
Gloves of the Fire Lord

The Gloves of the Fire Lord

The Gloves of the Fire Lord were forged by <<boss>> in order to help him control the fire weapons*. Sometimes he uses them as a close combat weapon* (can`t think more right now)

*These things heavily depend on your map, which I don`t know much for. If you have a custom inventory system in which you only have 1 weapon, 1 armor, 1 accesory and things like this, then you can either use the gloves as a weapon, or as an accesory that allows you to bear fire weapons. I can`t think more for the gloves right now.

Shield:
Shield of the Divine flames

History should be similar to the armor

Stats should be low because of the abilities we will give the shield.

Abilities would be 1: If someone attacks the bearer of the shield gets damaged by flames, and 2: You can cast a shield bash, which stuns, deals some initial damage and fire DoT.

Cape

Sunfire Cape

The Sunfire Cape was made by an uknown material to all. It destroys everything that touches it. (Can`t think much now)

Stats are again low, because simply adding imba stats and shity/not unique abilities just sucks. It should give some armor probably.

Abilities: When the bearer moves, the cape leaves fire behind, that damages enemy units. If you don`t know how to make such a thing, you can PM me. If you didnt like this ability, then you can make it like the bearer recieves less damage from behind.


For everything else:

I don`t have any ideas for all the others, other than sword dealing a bonus TRUE damage, the dagger dealing fire DoT, and the staff giving you a fire ability.

I think map have something to do with Warcraft history at all so i can use warcraft names and world of warcraft names right ?

History: An armor created with dark iron and steel in depths of earth by a talented dwarf for Grimaxe , but lost when the dwarf dies .

Ability(All should have one passive or active): Passive : reduce damage taken by [Some number]

Item's name: Corehound skin gloves
Item's Description: Cannot be burned
History: Gloves created by the dark iron dwarfs to protect them from the heat of the molten lava , those gloves seems fairly enchanted beside the rest of them .
Gives(included stats/ms/as/hp/mp/hp reg/mp reg/armor):Armor/Stamina/Attack Speed 3%
Ability(All should have one passive or active): Active : Swiftness - 35% attack speed for 8 seconds , 1 min cooldown
Type:Gloves

Item's name: Shield of the Iron Lord
Item's Description: Well the lava is Hotter anyway
History: Shield made of some kind of adamantite material , enchanted with great fire portection , it seems it can stay under flowing lava and never break , this shield was most probably made for Dagran Thaurissan but being throwed in to lava because of its strange look .
Gives(included stats/ms/as/hp/mp/hp reg/mp reg/armor):Armor/Health/Attack Speed slowed by 3%
Ability(All should have one passive or active): Active : Barrickade : reduce Attack Damage by 15% and Reduce damage Taken by 5% . [Can be Activate and Dissable Any time ]
It can have Passive : Chance on being hit to reduce incoming damage by [Some number] (like 35% chance to reduce 45 damage [damage cannot be reduced bellow 10)
Type:Shield

Item's name: Flamewallker Cloak
Item's Description: You really can tell Flamewallker made this
History: A cape made by one of the Flamewallkers of Ragnaros , made with hound skin and extracted lava and fire elemental core , he made a cloak invulnarable to any type of elemental attack .
Gives(included stats/ms/as/hp/mp/hp reg/mp reg/armor):Movementspeed 5% / Health / Little Armor
Ability(All should have one passive or active): Active : Magic Immunity - Makes you immune to magic for 5 seconds / 1:30 min cooldown
It can have Passive : Spellblock - every 50 seconds (or different)
Type:Cape

Item's name: Giant Forged Helm
Item's Description: Now you know why its bigger then your head
History: Crafted by the molten giants in molten core with everything they can get their hands on . This helm was reforged couple of times from the giants in the molten core before it was finally reforeged by Golemagg . He even used pieces of Garr to strenghten the helm .
Gives(included stats/ms/as/hp/mp/hp reg/mp reg/armor):Reduce sight Range , Armor , Little Health
Ability(All should have one passive or active): Active : Use - Grands aura : Garr protection for 10 seconds with 1:30 min cooldown .
Type:Helm

Item's name: Flaming Hood
Item's Description: Ok its burning but its only 30c* when you touch
History: This hood was owned by some powerful mage , he found his death under the hammers of the molten giants . The item was made by finest threads , cloths , magic enchantments and last and unknown how piece of the body of Baron Geddon .
Gives(included stats/ms/as/hp/mp/hp reg/mp reg/armor):Mana Regen , Little Armor , Little Health , Mana
Ability(All should have one passive or active): Active : Flame Hell - (something like the demon hunter fire damage armor (forgot the name) ) doing a lot of dps(in some range) for 5 seconds / 3 minute cooldown
Type:Hood

Item's name: Dark Iron Staff
Item's Description: Made for you my sweet hearth
History: The staff was created by the dark irons and its fire proof . The purpose of creation of the staff was to be gifted to Princess Moira Bronzebeard by the dark iron ruler Dagran Thaurissan , so he asked for a fine and great piece of staff the cannot be destroyed even by throwing in to the lava . The staff was created but then the princess were taken back to IronForge , the ruller ordered the staff to be throwed in the molten core so he can never see it again .
Gives(included stats/ms/as/hp/mp/hp reg/mp reg/armor):Damage , Mana , Mana regeneration
Ability(All should have one passive or active): Passive : Briliance Aura (grands little mana regeneration to nearby friendly units)
Type:Staff


About the Bow i think its better to drop and item that can be crafted with something else to make the end item .
Something like Fire Lord Core Drop - Combine it with Ancient Shaft at some Blacksmith to create the end item)
The bow can have the Ability to create fire arrows :)

Item's name: Flaming Ancient Bow
Item's Description: I made it i made it
History: This bow was created you with ancient shaft and the core of the fire lord at the finest forge . The shaft never burns and the fire never burn out .
Gives(included stats/ms/as/hp/mp/hp reg/mp reg/armor):Damage , 3% attack speed and very little mp regen
Ability(All should have one passive or active): Active : Molten Shot - Shot that deals a lot of damage 1 minute cooldown .
Type:Bow

Item's name: Dagger of Lokhtos
Item's Description: Who was Lokhtos again ?
History: Lokhtos Darkbargainer forged a lot of weapons , this one was the last before his current hammer , it looks like someone stole it and it now end up here , what a waste .
Gives(included stats/ms/as/hp/mp/hp reg/mp reg/armor): Little Damage , 10% attack speed , Little mp Regen
Ability(All should have one passive or active): Passive : Expose - reduce armor by (some number) for 15 seconds / 2 minutes cooldown
Type:Dagger

2-3. Item's Description: Forged by the Fire elementals themselves during the Plane Wars, this armor grants the wearer the protection of the great flames that enchanted it.
4. Gives 10 armor, and 20% resistance to fire
5. Ability: Ignite - the armor deals a 20%-chance 100 urn damage when attacked by a melee unit
6. Type: Armor
