[Solved] Item Ability (Inner Fire) - not working

I replaced Purge with Inner Fire (Neutral Hostile) on Shamanistic Totem. But the item can't be used now. In fact, I can't even move it around in the inventory.
Shamanistic Totem is already a single target item that uses Purge. It works fine if I replace the ability with Summon Red Drake. Does anyone know what I need to do to make Inner Fire work on an item?

EDIT: Doesn't work with Bloodlust either, Purge and Death Coil (unit abilities) work. I wonder if Items don't like auto-cast abilities.

Items dont like auto-cast abilities. You can replace Inner Fire with a dummy ability and trigger the cast of Inner Fire with a dummy.
