Had to create another thread because the terrain themes are different, hope you don't mind. I like this picture a lot and i'd like to see what you guys think.
I think the road needs some cobbles and maybe a few very small pebble doodads or a little bit of short grass on the sides, but otherwise I think it's your best so far.
Dosen't really look like an island, but oh well. I can see the palmtrees where the main part of that idea. I like it. But you could use a pathway (like ~Void~ said) and some tiny ground elevation here and there.
Well, you won't need much critcism on this one, the onnly things I can point out for you is:
1) The road is too flat, create a little height variation there. 2) You need a background. It looks too empty without it. 3) Maybe a bit more short grass in the road will make it looks cooler!
Use rocks, downsize them to 0.01 with max height 1.20, then + them x2, then use page down to get rid of them, then page up just so that they're seeable. That makes the best types of cobble roads. I used that very technique here, and I think it looks quite good.
