Invisible lightning behind obects?

Nope, you can either totally hide it, if some conditions are met (e.g. objects interfering) or show it before those objects. So, basically, you can't have half of the lightning hidden and other parts shown, unless you create many lightnings (use regions for that, if you want it for the Terrain you make, and create lightning from center of region1 to center of region 2, a lightning from region2 to region3, and so on).
