Making a good-looking combined lightning effect

Hello! I've made a spell, which uses a parabola-formed lightning effect. The problem is that the lightning must be created by combining linear lightning effects, and the narrow part between the lightnings is very noticeable (see the picture). Is there any way to make it look better, either by triggering or by creating a new lightning by modifying Lightningdata.slk file?

Latter, it's set in the LightningData.slk. You may modify existing data. However, the graphics of each lightning will still be independent from one another and you will probably overlap the edges.

Ok, thanks. Do you know what values I should use, or is there any software for previewing lightning effects? Importing that file every time and testing takes a lot of time.
