Making a good-looking combined lightning effect

Hello! I've made a spell, which uses a parabola-formed lightning effect. The problem is that the lightning must be created by combining linear lightning effects, and the narrow part between the lightnings is very noticeable (see the picture). Is there any way to make it look better, either by triggering or by creating a new lightning by modifying Lightningdata.slk file?
