Simple question: does constant function automatically inlined by normal WE?
something like:

    constant function Accuracy takes nothing returns real
        return 0.0312500
    endfunction

    call TimerStart(timer, Accuracy(), true, function func)

?

If not, then I guess common GUI configuration using globals is better.

Nope, IIRC, it's jasshelper's functionality that inlines one liners.

EDIT: Second thought, both are fairly a same. Using globals is speed-wise, while using constant functions is memory-wise.

They're useful for configuration when you only want a constant value returned.

There's basically no speed difference IIRC.

Also, just use globals. war3map.j filesize is more important than some bytes for a global.

Logically, it's not constant. Because it returns based on given integer. So what's a constant function actually?

Constant functions can't modify values. They can only call constant functions too.

tidbit of information: a static member is a member whose lifetime is set to be the lifetime of the program. Try making a static variable in a function in c++ ^)^.

Function which can't call natives.

They don't serve any performance boost past normal functions, but I guess it creates credibility like private functions.
