I do not think the current ones are ballenced.4. Introduction new special events will demand balance processing. Now I do not have time for it.
As a tanker hero who has high hitpoints (pitlord) the first challenge was a joke. The blades only do 4000 damage so I just stood there spamming pots and picking up all the gold while other heroes were dieing like flys (note all heroes can do this via buying the +life items, but only tank heroes nativly).
The second challenge was a total bastard, being the only tank and having to tank bosses I had little gold spair to buy damaging items. As such my low damage moves and such left me with very poor performance (100K gold) as only in avatar form (pitlords ultimate) could I even damage them quickly. As the mob is actually quite weak (you were fighting 1600 damage units minutes eariler) you do not really have to worry about death no matter your hero which removes any edge from me being a tanking hero in the event. However along comes Mrs ranger hero into the event who has constantly been dieing to the mob due to poor defense and hitpoints (why I was tanking) because of buying only damaging items like multishot and pure damage items. The mob was too weak to actually do anything to her and all here items meant she had 2-3 K damage constantly + moves (I do not know which) which were all DPS hero power. Logically she was killing the mob constantly in seconds cause the massive multishot meant huge number of hit targets and high damage meant few hits needed and so she got a massive 1000K gold (max) from the minigame. This meant she ended up tanking better than I could as well as being a hell of a lot more powerful as I only received 1/10th of the money from the event.
Now you will probably say that this was my fault for not buying an item with cleaving attack and leveling it up as then my damage would hit almost all the units improving my killing power by like 400% as 50% odd cleaving + 1K attack will mow them down quickly, but it is still not fair that DPS heroes get that event easilly while tanking heroes suffer due to reduced damage output (especially since the abilities generally are usless at killing the guys while DPS heroes moves are pretty effective).
Thus in short, to do well in the first event, get the pendant of + health and up it until you have more 4K life. Buy like 50+ health pots and just sit for the first half of the game picking up gold safely. At final half, just grab all the coins you can and when you are damaged just spam pots using your hotkey.
For the second event, you will need damaging 1K+ AoE moves otherwise you should just alt+F4 out the game as you will be usless. This means, for all tanker melee heroes you will need the weapon with cleaving attack maxed atleast. For DPS heroes you should already be hitting a lot of units for a lot of damage so just make sure you can survive like 3K DPS (pots if need be).
After the second event you should have 2K+ all stats and a inventory full of tier 3 weapons as a DPS hero. As a tanking hero you will be lucky to obtain that much gold.
So a possible solution for this would be to vary the minigames based on the type of hero in it for each player. Eg the first minigame for dps/support heroes could have weaker blades so as to ballence out the tanks massive HP.
The second event could have DPS heroes fighting more durable units (to make up for their high damage) while tankers fighting easier to kill but a lot more powerful units (so tanking is important). This would emphisise their roles more in the events as currently the first event is tank biased while the second heavilly DPS biased.
