Okay, people who read this please tell me how to get the skin for an attachment like HappyTauren's Steel Sheild. I know how to import and get it on the import menu in WE but i still can't even use custom models, and by the way i have read ALL the tutorials and none explain it clearly enough.

its hard to believe that you really did read any tutorial, because they are like STEP by STEP explanations.

Well, maybe you explain a bit better, where exactly the problem is?.

YOu got it in the Import Manager, so now you only have to change the name of the skin into that name, the creator of the model wrote somewhere.

Thats how it looks, when u import:

wc3imported\"Name".blp

and thats how it could look like:

Textures\"Name".blp

Then you just save the map, and then u can use the model in the object editor.

Sometimes you have to close the map and reopen it, so yeah... thats it....

It says it uses ingame textures i know what it means but when i got it into the game I couldn't find the textures to model links o.O

of course you cant find the textures, because when it uses ingame textures, the textures are taken out of a Blizzard Map Pack.

You can find these kind of textures by using Magos Model Editor for example. (Go to Windows and then "MPQ Browser". THen you can load a mpq and serch for the texture, the model uses.

If you want to find out, wich textures the model uses, convert it into mdl file format and open it with the Windows Text Editor Tool. You can find the textures where it says "Textures" ^^

By the way: U dont have to import ingame textures of course ^^... im not sure what exactly your problem is, ^^

>.> I changed the model and i have the texture taht means its the attachment to the character thats not working. thanks :)

can u perhaps post a link to the model?

Sry, i really dont understand, what your talking of ....

There is a message, that the attachment.mdl is not working? Thats normal, its always this message, often its because the CustomSkin-Thread wasnt set in correctly - but as you said, it would use ingame textures, i have no idea, whats going on - sry
