It will be very cool......

touch a unit icon once: show tooltips
touch icon two times: select/train unit

and it will be awesome if world editor is ported into android......
Your APM would drop a lot. Also, touchpads don't have enough accuracy for fast-paced games.

Also, scrolling would be a mess as you'd have to use swipes for that.

Don't get me wrong: strategy games are one of the better applications for touch displays. But mouse and keyboard is still better.

It would be a cool experiment, but I don't think it would suit a game like Warcraft 3. Warcraft 3 is far more micro-oriented. You have to be able to select things quickly. And on mobile, it would be tough. It could be cool for tablets, but it still would be a bit slow compared to a mouse (and you would lose a lot of speed by not having a keyboard) or would require a lot of restructuring.

There was an interesting touch demo many many years back. Keep in mind that touch screen technology wasn't that popular back then (it pretty much became popular with the iphone in 2008), so it isn't as developed or sensitive as we would expect:
But he had a big screen, which is another thing to consider.
