Well, they kinda like trying to use the success of other famous movie... and if you look at it, it's getting more and more dramatic in the books too, first four were like a child story, starting from fifth part it's getting more serious.

Who's "they"? The books actually take a really dark turn here, blame the "she". They're just staying true to the books, for better or worse.


Also, LotR is fantastic, so I don't see how that's a bad thing.

i think the books are very nice since it starts at the age where harry is a child and evry book you see him grow.

I do not think it is real 3D they are using. I heard it was only suplimentry 3D via post processing. Yes the spells and effects will all be true 3D but the characters will be 2D billboarded planes in the 3D environment.

Personally Harry Potter just does not make much sense. Like how come it was not spoted from space or why the instant death spell is not used more often or even why they do not fear the "muggles" who have weapons capable of destroying the whole planet.
