How to run Warcraft 3 smoothly!

Hello guys,
Even though we have kickass PCs in 2018, i suffer from lags in warcraft 3. I do not mean big or noticeable lags but i expected warcraft 3 to run smoother like oil on water. I've seen people on youtube playing warcraft 3 smoother than i could imagine. I have tried this tutorial but did not work for me https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8a-ihBr8ahY.

I tried to play DotA again and mine is locked at 60 FPS already, though.
I also think it's already pretty smooth, just like the one in the vid.

Maybe your PC spec?

If the frame rate setting is set to anything other than 60 it will result in low frame rate game play. I suggest deleting your Warcraft III options in the registry and resetting them using the main menu UI.
