Take a look at the stickies as well as existing threads. I usually write some short exposition/motivation/teaser, core functionality, important characters, maybe some example, screenshots/video, progress, downloads, credits. Just clearly emphasize the features of your project. Decorate everything to make it look interesting, professional and coherent. You have to be able to read it well enough, no monstrous wall of text, no bad formatting.

Pay attention to readability and aesthetics, that "Created by" for example is hardly visible on the background. The color scheme is very dull, which would maybe fit some scifi project (silver/metal) but not so if it's about a forest. The title should stand out more, maybe even use an extra decorated font for it.

The description is lacking, I cannot really picture it from your few lines.

In WtfF you select a race and a race class (if there is).

Do not introduce own abbreviations without defining them (write "In War For The Forest (WftF)" instead). Later on you can just use the abbreviation. What is a race class? What do you mean "if there is"?

The goal is to kill every other player, just like a melee!
The resource system is like normal except for gold.

Elaborate and pick better phrases. Flatly comparing it to XYZ is lazy, assuming that the reader knows it and selling your work cheaply. You basically state that you do not bring anything new to the table, respectively that it can be described as primitively. If your map/project is indeed an Altered Melee, denote it as such right in the title and then only focus on your specific vision. What's possible to have is a debate/motivational introduction but then actually expose some reason/detail of your train of thoughts, what is good, what you think should change.

Gold has been renamed to Lifestone

There is no gold in your project.

- Epic Loooooooong Fights
- Good AI
- Loads of Races (WIP)
- Decent Terrain (WIP)

Are you serious? Write properly. Leave out vague expressions. And ideally substantiate it. Why would I automatically jump to the conclusion that your AI and terrain are bad? If you want to list up features, those are formal facts and I think they should rather be placed at the end of your presentation before dowloads/closing remarks/credits because how is the reader to make head and tails out of it at this stage? That only works if the context is already known.

Some else stuff about map:

"Miscellaenous". Apart from the headline and the insufficient content, that's something to be pushed behind the presentation, more so since it's something easy to change later on.

The screenshots are too large. Avoid the user having to handle the horizontal scroll bar.

About the credits: You do not tell what you thank them for. Are these coworkers? Have you only taken some resources from them? How are they linked to your project? What is the abcd pattern for?

Add a download paragraph including the map (big button), current version number and maybe what specialties the user has to adhere if there are any (technical stuff like map is protected, download mirrors, extra executable, works only with SharpCraft etc).
