War For The Forest

Map Info:

In WtfF you select a race and a race class (if there is).

The goal is to kill every other player, just like a melee!
The resource system is like normal except for gold.

Gold has been renamed to Lifestone, which is used to train units or build buildings. Wood is just wood and can be harvested from trees. Lifestone is income-based resource, for every building you've got, you get extra income.

Example: Every 5 seconds, a root produces 5 Lifestone, every 1 second a Primary Building produces 10/15 Lifestone.

- Loads of Races (WIP)
- Decent Terrain (WIP)
- Unique Races with their own lore


Some else stuff about map:

REALLY Work In Progress, would be nice if someone could help with ideas/models/icons/spells/skins. Looking for loremasters too, for making the lore for the races (duh).

Hm, that's quite a uniform terrain. What do you think about adding different styled areas to the map ?
One could be a more mountain-like terrain, another one could be feature a lot of small ponds and maybe a river, swampish.

Are the starting locations fixed ? Since this is a strategy map, it could be a good idea to let the player himself decide where to settle down. In combination with different styled areas there could be advantages and disadvantages dependent on the area, weather-wise, terrain-wise, resource-wise.
What do you think about it ?

Players start with 3 workers and 1 defensive/scout unit, so they can choose where to build. I guess i could divide the map on 4 fragments with each one having his bonuses.

Terrain is really WIP.

Btw, do u want a map demo?

That sounds good. You can additionally try to play around with the WE custom height tools to create decent mountains and hills.

How is that custom height thing?
Im thinking about adding a boss in the middle and dividing the map in 3.

I already know that xD, i will upgrade terrain tomorrow.

Next update will improve terrain, unit abilities and probably add a new race.

New terrain incoming, name is going to change to war for the island again, all races removed, made new ones. In 1 week the patch will be coming up, and you will have a special king/character that's your leader, if he dies you lose. AI removed temporarily.
