How to make Cinematics in Warcraft III - Complete Series


Have you ever wondered what's involved in making your own cutscenes in the Warcraft III World Editor? Whether you are a total novice or experienced in using triggers, this series will take you through all you need to know in making your own cinematics for your maps!

This series will take you through 8 tutorial videos, each covering different aspects when setting up your triggers, cameras, sound files and more. These lessons can be applied to your maps regardless if you are using Reforged or legacy Warcraft III.

LESSON ONE - BASICS​

Our first lesson takes us through the bare minimum we need to know to make a functional cinematic within our maps.


LESSON TWO - TRIGGER OPTIMIZATION​

While making our cinematics, it is important to setup our triggers in such a way so they are bug-free and do not cause issues for our players.


LESSON THREE - CAMERAS​

Now with the fundamentals out of the way, our next lesson takes us through all the functionality available to us when using cameras in our cinematics.


LESSON FOUR - SOUND​

Another important aspect of cutscenes is making good use of sound and music files, and this tutorial video shows us how.

Our next lesson takes us through how to incorporate dialogue lines for characters within our cinematics.

Whether we are talking about unit animations or models in general, this tutorial will show us how to make use of them within our cutscenes.
