How do I edit warcraft 3 skins. I got gimp but i dont know how

how to edit skins

Learn some GIMP tutorials, if you want to edit GIMP. Use Warcraft 3 viewer and extract those skins. Then edit with GIMP. To apply it ingame, find the corresponding path for it then make it .blp with warcraft 3 viewer again. Then import to your map.

tried to edit the night elf archer skin. didn't applied in the warcraft3 well. it hasnt even changed. Is there some skins you cant edit

and also I used mpq editor to place it unto the mpq file. Does it has to be a specific program to place the skin back

Dont place the skin in the mpq file. Just import it to your map. Also dont double post. Use the edit button.
